Mary’s took my discrimination case against Stanford Hospital. It was a good case. With six months left to file, I repeatedly contacted her telling her I was worried about my time running out. She assured me she had plenty of time… the last time I asked if she had filed yet, I received an email with a... formal letter stating that they didn’t file in a timely matter and my case was lost. Meanwhile Marta Vanegas is seeking excuses to close all her existing cases or offering low negotiation rewards to shut them down all which is announced in her quick 5 minute rushed call talking aggressively with clients to force her final decision on them. She is not telling clients her new and sudden plan of action on cases until she has trapped the client into accepting her as continued attorney of representation via email as she avoids all her client phone calls for ongoing weeks using Jon Webster Law Group answering service as a filter. In my first meeting with Marta, she gave me the facts regarding my rights and the strength of the case, and areas that would not benefit the case. I like her knowledge and knowledge of the law in regards to the Department of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity that protects employees’ rights. My favor...ite thing about working with Martin & Vanegas, APC was all the staff. They were great at responding to phone calls and emails in a timely manner. They communicate all my questions to Marta and Marta made herself available to respond to emails or set up calls that might need deeper explanations regarding my case. In the end, we were able to go through mediation and Marta was able to request the best mediator. I received a fair settlement in a shorter period of time without needing to go through more emotional distress through a deposition. Marta is a fighter and we were willing to go all the way to court if needed. Her hard work put a value on all the evidence she presented in my case.
