Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend thinking carefully before hiring Spiggle Law Firm.

I had a very disappointing experience with Spiggle Law Firm. I retained the firm for legal representation, but I personally felt that the fees charged were disproportionate to the amount of substantive work performed on my case. In my situation, I was billed approximately $11,000 primarily for wha...t I believed to be a relatively basic complaint letter and related communications. After later consulting with multiple other attorneys, I was told that the same type of work would typically cost significantly less at many other firms. I also felt that I was billed extensively for internal communications and lengthy emails that, in my opinion, were unnecessary and did not meaningfully advance my case. At times, it seemed like routine correspondence generated substantial additional charges, which became very concerning to me as a client. Due to these concerns, I decided to terminate the representation before the matter was completed and retained different counsel. After discussing my experience with other attorneys, I was advised to file a complaint with the Virginia State Bar for further review. I normally do not leave negative reviews, but I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions before hiring this firm.

Bad business

Louise E Ryder who currently works for the spriggle law firm in Virginia. Her style of practice is very questionable. They charged for things that have not been completed. Copy and paste your original letter into a demand letter, etc.. I am going to report her to the state bar for investigation.

The allegations in this review are inaccurate, and unfortunately, our firm required the closure of this individual's matter after his repeated refusals to pay a significant outstanding balance. Nonetheless, despite the lack of payment, we completed a draft of a demand letter for him, which he approved, and provided him detailed instructions on representing himself going forward, including setting forth all upcoming deadlines and advising him of the strengths and weaknesses of his claims and how to exhaust his administrative remedies. In fact, I personally reached out to this individual on multiple occasions to see if we could arrange a payment plan or come to some agreement that would enable us to represent him in settlement discussions, but he hung up on me and ignored my subsequent attempts to contact him. The Spiggle Law Firm and I take client feedback seriously and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. We recommend that readers look at the Spiggle Law Firm’s many 5-star reviews for a more accurate portrayal of the level of service that we provide.

Louise Ryder an Excellent Lawyer

My name is Yordanos Sium and I was terminated by the D. C. government. I would like to offer my comments on a terrific Lawyer, Louise Ryder, who was my attorney and represented me before the D. C. Office of Employees Appeals. How blessed I was to have had her as my attorney. Without question Ms. Ry...der did a tremendous job for me. She is a vigilant and astute observer. I can’t say enough about her; no words can explain how good she is. Ms. Ryder is just an excellent lawyer and knows how to organize, bring together facts and issues that might seem to be difficult. She took my case that had been before the D. C. Office of Employees Appeals, the D. C. Superior Court and had gone up to D. C. Court of Appeals which vacated the OEA Board’s decision and remanded my case back to OEA for further proceedings consistent with the Court’s opinion. Without question Louise did everything to bring my case to the right conclusion and that conclusion was that my termination was reversed and I was ordered reinstated with my back-pay, benefits and attorney fees from a job I lost 10 years ago. Louise is a skill lawyer; she is personal and demonstrates respect. On a scale of 1 to 10, Ms. Ryder gets a 10 from me.
