“I was suspended for, at the direction of my client, holding money for her after the settlement of her personal injury case because she was using meth. I agreed. The money was placed into the bank account and was safe. When the client asked for the money as per the agreement it was given to her. The client never complained and the client was not hurt. The issue of the discipline was that I did not place the money into a "IOLTA" account - although the money was still protected and safe.”
