Kristi was open to a payment plan and accepted a down payment and post dated checks which she said would be cashed only after a phone call or email from her. She finished half our agreement for a child support and visitation matter and cashed checks, without my OK. This cost me over $200 in overdraft...s. She would not answer phone calls and emails for over 3 weeks and communication ceased after she was paid with the checks. Grasping at straws, she said I was not ethical with her and wanted to resign.I fired her instead. She seems to have her life in dis-array and it reflects in her work and appearance. Watch your step and get it in writing. P.S. She did get my support reduced, but I was unemployed for over 16 months so it was not hard. She was surprised when the referee sided with her.My visitation still has a court date and I have to hire another attorney and start over.

My ex and I had separated 8 years ago. For 4 years he had custody of all 3 of our children.In 2011 our oldest came to live with me full time From 2007 until this last September I was paying my ex-husband child support. Even for the child that lived with me full time. I retained Kristi due to the fact... that she is a hard working attorney and she already did wonders for our family by getting my husband and I custody of his 2 children. But in 2013 all she needed to do was show up to court and let my ex-husband know it was either we went into discovery or there wasn't going to be support going either way. She did her job and got him to back down. I believe that if it wasn't for Kristi being there with me to get him to back down, I'd be paying my ex-husband more than what I could afford. Kristi turned the fear around on who's way it will go when it comes to my children. Use to be what my ex said is the way it goes. Now it's either we agree or nothing at all.. Tears fill my eyes when I think about where our family would be today without Kristi. She has come to court with my SEVERAL times to make sure that my kids are safe and well cared for. She has stood right next to me, easing my anxiety over child support, custody fights, and opposing counsel that di...d not follow the proper processes to settle disputes. She's not only an amazing attorney, but an amazing PERSON. Attorney's have such a bad rap for being crooked and selfish, etc. Kristi defies every stereo type out there. My kids are safely where they belong because of her and I have peace of mind knowing that if the need should arise she will back me up 100%. She has the same or more knowledge and professionalism of an attorney I've interviewed, but the one thing that sold me on hiring Kristi was that she's a human, she's a mom, she's a woman that's been in my shoes, she's down to earth, easy to get along with and communicate with and I can't imagine looking ANYWHERE else for legal advice or representation. I will forever be in (figurative) debt to her for what she's done for the kids and I.

Kristi was retained by myself to hopefully bring closure, peace and finally fairness to what was a horrible original divorce decree. With a child support payment much higher than state mandated, visitation rights being denied, and basically my ex wife trying to push me out of my kids' lives, Kristi d...id the impossible. She fought for my parental rights and amazingly got my child support lowered hundreds a month to exactly what the state says it should be. All of this in the toughest county against men in divorces in MN. She did what I thought would be impossible. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a fair judgement in a family court of law, especially to anyone who thinks they have been unfairly ruled against in a divorce case.

We retained Kristi for a child custody case that was a mess from the start. It involved 2 children that the mother had already separated and basically abandoned one of them. Kristi listened to all of our concerns about the children and she didn't pull any stops to make sure that we didn't stop until ...we got custody of both children. I think if we wouldn't have had Kristi that both of these kids would not be living with us now. Or we would still be sitting in a court room week after week. With everything that Kristi was able to find out we were in and out of court in one day. Never even made it to trial. Kristi didn't put down any stops in our case.
