I hired Jennifer to get a divorce. My husband was served on November 4, 2011. She didn't and wouldn't give me a copy. She told me she was giving him 30 days to respond. Well, a week before Christmas 2011, we spoke and I told her: enough time had lasped and to finalize my divorce. She said (I k...id you not): I don't want to be noted as a Cut Throat Attorney, and I have my Reputation to think about. She said: give me $2500 more and we'll go Ex Parte. That way her reputation would still be intact. It would have also given my husband another chance to respond. I said: NO! Then she said "in that case we'll wait for their response". If my mother hadn't also heard the conversation, I would have thought I was dreaming. My husband's attorney responded on February 14, 2012. Which was 102 days from when my husband was served. Needless to say, we parted ways. I requested that she mail my paperwork back to me (taxes, credit report, receipts, bills from our marriage, Titles and such) which was all in order for viewing. It was a nightmare when I received it in the mail. I felt someone had deliberately made a mess of things. Nothing was in order. Perhaps someone had thrown it in the air, then given to a blind person to sort. My title to my car was in my tax information, as was some of my credit report. I felt for being a lawyer and having that much education her behavior was inappropriate, and childish. It took me at least 2 hours to sort through and organize it again for viewing.
