Jamie Mathey

I am an attorney and husband of one of Mr. Mathey's clients. I worked closely with Mr. Mathey on my wife's case, which was favorably settled last year. After taking the case, during and up to settlement, Mr. Mathey updated me and my wife regularly on developments, and even met with us at a park on a ...Saturday following our kids' baseball games, nearly two hours from his home. Mr. Mathey always listened closely whenever we met and asked great questions, questions about who we are, what we were trying to accomplish, and the state of the evidence. Mr. Mathey formulated a wise litigation/discovery plan and executed it well, putting the opposing party in a bad position from which to negotiate. He dealt expertly with opposing counsel at all times and negotiated a good deal for my wife, for which I am grateful. Most importantly, Mr. Mathey genuinely cares about me and my wife, and has kept in contact even though we are no longer in the area. For professional reasons I cannot publicly sign this review, but my wife is a real client of Mr. Mathey, and I am a Washington state attorney, which is to say I know what good lawyering is supposed to look like.
