Yasmeen Abdullah provides clients with a wide range of advice and representation in civil litigation. She frequently serves as an arbitrator and mediator on personal injury and family law cases. She has helped clients regarding religous discrimination complaints, bullying complaints to schools, assault and sexual abuse complaints, wrongful death claims, parenting plans and child support, domestic violence protection orders, landlord and tenant issues, and appeals.
Prior to founding the Abdullah Law Firm, Ms. Abdullah practiced for three years with a Seattle Law Firm where she provided legal advice, litigation, and employment investigations for school districts across Washington State, local government entities, and small businesses.
Before starting civil law practice, Ms. Abdullah was a Deputy Prosecutor for Thurston County. She handled thousands of criminal cases at both the trial and appeal levels. With another prosecutor, Ms. Abdullah formed an Animal Cruelty Unit in the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. She conducted law enforcement officer training regarding investigating animal crimes and changes in the law. Ms. Abdullah also co-drafted Senate Bill 5402 (codified as RCW 16.52.011, 16.52.085, and 16.52.200) preventing animal cruelty. Governor Gregoire signed the bill into law in 2009, allowing courts to permanently bar a person who has caused the death of an animal through cruelty from owning a similar animal in the future.
Before prosecuting, Ms. Abdullah completed two judicial clerkships at the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II. Ms. Abdullah assisted Judge Joel Penoyer and Judge J. Robin Hunt by assisting in drafting opinions, preparing bench memoranda, and conducting legal research.
Ms. Abdullah graduated cum laude from the Univeristy of Richmond with a Juris Doctor degree in 2006. While in law school, Ms. Abdullah was a Jean Tarpley Scholar. She served on the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Boards. Ms. Abdullah was a Carrico Moot Court Competition quarterfinalist and a National Trial Competition regional semifinalist. Ms. Abdullah served as a law student advisor, admissions minority panel speaker, and as secretary to the International Law Student Association. During law school, Ms. Abdullah worked as an intern with the Chesterfield County Attorney's Office in Virginia, conducting legal research and drafting memorando on employment law, parental rights, business and occupation taxes, and privacy rights. Ms. Abdullah also conducted legal research and wrote memoranda on state and federal constitutional law for Lammers Law Office.

I first met Yasmeen when I was trying to represent myself Pro-Se and I saw her representing another client in ex-parte court. As soon as I listened to her representing her client, I was so impressed I begged her to please let me hire her and I gave up trying to represent myself (which had been a los...

I hired Ms. Yasmeen back in 2022 for a child abduction/divorce case, which went smoothly. I had heard about Abdullah Law Firm within the Arab community in Seattle, and everyone had great things to say about Ms. Yasmeen, so I decided to have a consultation and ultimately sought her help with my matter...
