One of the good guys - and highly competent in Employment Law

I've known Jim for over a decade and he's at the top of my list being knowledgeable in Employment law. He offered some free services as well as a reduced rate for me. I'm a returning customer and would highly recommend him if you're looking for someone that knows this segment. He's concerned for your... welfare and in doing what's right. He's one of the good guys!

AVOID THIS ATTORNEY

Sadly the other anonymous 1 star reviewer is spot on as the EXACT SAME THING happened to me (except no one was "intoxicated" and I actually paid him over $300 bucks). Mr. Abrams FAILED as an attorney to adequately listen to my needs and actually TAKE ACTION to draft up a document which I had requeste...d and which Mr. Abrams was being compensated for in order to discuss at this consultation. He spoke in a long-winded, overly complicated, and drawn out fashion; I'll let the reader think about how this behavior may be advantageous to an attorney. I have no issue compensating professionals for their due, assuming they actually EARN IT. In this case in my opinion Jim just spoke about what a hypothetical lawyer WOULD DO. This situation has now been documented twice and hopefully it helps anyone considering working with him.

After spending considerable resources, we identified the individual who slandered us anonymously. This individual had prior counsel before coming to us. The reviewer was fired from employment. Then, the writer of the criticism sought and received legal services from us in excess of the amount actually paid. Not every client can obtain legal assistance to reverse their circumstances. The facts of this case supported the employer's decision to separate this employee who it is safe to say, demonstrated the same characteristics with the former employer [and us] that lead to the firing. This individual fabricated facts with the former employer, fabricated facts with us and fabricated facts in his retaliatory writing to Avvo because the client was unable to obtain the relief sought. There was no request for a refund, no complaint, the writer provided no ability to prove the assertions made about the employer and the writer's identity was then hidden in the Avvo report, it also being fabricated. Notably, this individual combed through many of our reviews to identify a single adverse commentary, among over 150 five star reviews, one by an impaired former client who was declined service. The individual about whom you are now reading then fabricated facts to align the writer's situation with the former client who was declined service. The Denver District Attorney's office indicated that this type of misconduct, i.e. false communications, qualifies as wire fraud by the reviewer, i.e., a reviewer using an interstate, electronic means to perpetrate a fraud on the public by disseminating false information.

Very responsive, has a deeply informed perspective

I had a strange, volatile circumstance on my hands, that many attorneys seemed to want to avoid. Not enough money in it, too challenging, didn't fit cleanly into their area of expertise -- who knows why. Jim waded in and sort of rescued me over the course of several consults. He has a deep exp...erience base and was able to provide me with a much broader perspective than many attorneys I have talked to. He is wily and creative with his thinking. I would not want to face him in court, that's for sure. Finally, and I think this is key: he is responsive and courteous, which seems to be annoyingly rare in the field. I can't recommend Jim enough.

Experience and Proffesionalism

Mr. Abrams helped me to resolve an incident, that happend to me at work place. You will get a proffesional advice and consultation throughout the whole investigation process. I was able to communicate with him daily, when I need it, he was alway avalable for me. He was able to explain on the "peopl...e-freindly" language all Colorado laws, he make me feel comfortable. He was able to write a statment letter to my boss. I will deffenetly recomend him. If you hired him, I garantee, that you going to WIN your case.

Someone Who Cares More About Clients

Jim was honest and open about what he could and could not do to help my case. He cared more about doing what was best and less about making money. He went above and beyond on communication and did not charge me for every conversation. I started with another attorney who was more worried about gett...ing paid and dragging the case out. I wish I would have started with Jim. He did right by me. He actually cares about people and the law.
