I have practiced in Dalton and throughout northwest Georgia since 1980. I represented insurance companies for the first 9 years of practice and have represented people injured in a variety of cases for the last 21 years. Our firm has handled a variety of personal injury cases, mostly auto, motorcycle or tractor trailor collisions. We also handle premises liability, civil rights violations and business disputes including fraud or breach of contract. I am also a mediator. In all I have been in over 1000 vehicular collision cases. I have tried cases in all counties in northwest Georgia as well as many in metro Atlanta. I have also tried cases in Federal Court in Atlanta, Gainesville and Rome, Georgia. I am admitted to all Georgia state courts as well as the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the 4th and 11th Circuit Federal Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. In 1991, we obtained the highest verdict ever in Madison County, Georgia, in a medical malpractice case. Our firm has received more than 50 verdicts and/or settlements in excess of $100,000 with the highest being $6,750,000. In 2010 alone, we have helped represent plaintiffs in cases paying $1,150,000, $750,000, $400,000, $300,000, $250,000, and $100,000 (2), through October. I am a regional vice president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and I have served on the Georgia State Bar Board of Governors. I and our firm currently have the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell (AV). Our entire firm enjoys representing average people with extraordinary problems. We handle many cases on a fee structure that if we do not win, we do not get paid. We strive to be the best at what we do in northwest Georgia.
