above and beyond in every aspect

Ms. Stup is a kind of attorney that every client would be lucky to have. She is clear, concise, supportive and empathetic. She sets very clear expectations, never over-promises and always delivers. She does not waste client's time or money and is always extremely responsive and transparent. Her staf...f is very helpful and makes the whole process seamless. 1. Knowledge of the law: Superb. A clear nuanced command of the applicable law based on experience and extremely keen knowledge of the latest developments. 2. Professionalism: Top-notch. Never a single issue when it comes to working with Mr. Stup. She is always considerate and courteous, a natural communicator, very skilled attorney with the highest degree of professionalism in each and every aspect. 3. Cost. Extremely reasonable for someone of her experience and stature. Ms. Stup is highly conscious of client's resources as in constantly making sure that the actions she takes are warranted and necessary, and not just ""standard procedure" like many other lawyers invariably do. 4. Human-to-human contact. Ms. Stup is very empathetic and is a great psychologist, besides being an excellent practitioner. She put me at ease countless times when I was nervous or simply anxious due to the nature of the proceeding (my first time in family court). Above and beyond what any lawyer would do. 110% recommend for any and all cases that have to do with all aspects of family law. Ms. Stup is not just a superb lawyer, she is an advocate for her clients, as she sees her role not in a strictly transactional way but more of a partnership with a client. in other words, she cares and it shows. A word on some of the negative reviews: I don't have all the facts but based on what I read I have a strong hunch that client's expectation were apriori unreasonable. Lawyers are not magicians and can't just make problems go away. Each case is different, but when clients share a burden of being a problem/source of issues at hand, they should not be surprised that the outcome - which is ultimately up to the judge and not their lawyers oftentimes reflect that.

Highly Recommend!

I chose Elizabeth Stup because she only practices Family Law, not a million other things 'as well as' Family Law. She handled my very, very long case with respect, compassion, and clarity. I felt like she always had my best interests at heart and having someone 'on my side' felt like a life boat in... a whirlwind of emotions. She lent a sympathetic ear, while remaining focused on the law and keeping me grounded. She was extremely responsive and extremely clear about my options throughout the entire ordeal.

Divorce

Elizabeth is very knowledgeable, experienced, professional and confident. She is the right balance of being sympathetic but also keeps you grounded when emotions run high. She, and her staff kept me informed every step of the way through email and by telephone during the divorce process and clearly e...xplained any questions I had. All court papers were prepared properly and submitted within deadlines given. She appeared for every court date and was always on time. Her advice was excellent during mediation and I was very happy with the outcome. I was comfortable with Elizabeth from the start and always felt that she had my back.
