Divorce is extremely hard on all involved. I was nervous and anxious when I walked in her office. I left feeling like I could actually do this. Deb and her staff are so knowledgable, and friendly. I feel like they have become my friends. Deb is extremely good at her job. She always had my best... interest at hand. Court was a scary place for me, but the first day I went and saw her face in court, I knew she would have my best interest. She got things done. She is the best attorney and i would recomend her to anyone.

I originally filed my divorce case with an attorney who is a friend of my buddy. Seemed fine until the judge almost put me in lockup due to the attorneys clueless approach. Then I watched Deb Grover work first hand in the courtroom with her cases and thought to myself I need her working on my case.... Thank goodness she accepted my case and left no stone unturned. Atty Grover and her staff are truly amazing people. They provide more than just the legal aspect of going through a divorce. I had a very contentious divorce, and Atty Grover and her staff were and still are there for me emotionally. They understood the pain and the difficulties I was dealing with..., and the lack of financials provided to me and my children. They were there every inch of the way with excellent advice and most importantly for me, laughter. Divorce is not a decision easily and readily made. There were times I felt like a deer in a headlight, but Atty Grover and her staff pulled me out of the headlight and steered me back on path. I am now dealing with the aftermath of a court trial. Atty Grover and her staff have been incredibly supportive, kind and caring. They have made sure all court orders are executed timely and correctly. Atty Grover is fierce, but reasonable, understanding, kind and compassionate in and out of court. I approached Attorney Grover for what I imagined was going to be an uncontested divorce with a child(ern) custody agreement, my Ex had verbally agreed. Attorney Grover went over the procedures. She explained how the family court system worked, what the court would be looking for, some of the probab...le scenarios and most of my options. She told me what records I needed to compile and things I needed to write down and/or document. She also had ball park figures for what it could cost for the different scenarios. Things did not go as I had hoped, the Ex filed a Cross Complaint, contested the custody of the kids, went after the house, asked for alimony and for a multitude of other nefarious things. We ended up doing a Child Custody case prior to the divorce. Attorney Grover handled the motions, request for information, affidavits, files & clarifications and court scheduling. She provided guidance and advice concerning Family Services and then the Special Masters. Child custody was settled at a Special Masters and four months later the divorce was finalized. I ended up with primary custody of both my children, retained our house and have no alimony payments. I believe that I am an exception in the state of Connecticut, not the rule and that normally the courts tend to side with the wife/mother. Attorney Grover knows the laws, rules, regulations and procedures. She kept me informed about most of the motions/procedures. She was capable of explaining things in laymen terms. Her staff is exceedingly competent and professional. I highly recommend her.

Attorney Grover and her complete staff worked efficiently and diligently throughout my entire case and provided a satisfactory outcome in a timely manner which dealt with a very complex and complicated divorce.
