When one files for divorce, the world breaks up in pieces and fear to the unknown future is inevitable. I decided to hire the "best " divorce lawyer by credentials and reputation that I could afford . I went to see Debra by recommendation from an acquaintance expecting to meet someone cold and calcul...ating based on her reputation of being "tough". I was pleasantly surprised to find the caring person and responsible professionals that few have remembered to mentioned. For the following 12 months she guided me, step by step on the legal process unfolding in front of me, actually CARING, that I be treated fairly all throughout, making me think twice or more about each decision and reminding me that what was on stake was not just myself , but the future of my kids if I made the wrong move. She didn't have to do that, but she repeteadly did despite being such a busy person. Her office staff became a support group as well, so important when we feel so hopeless. I was never NOT informed of my rights or Deb's next move on my behalf. No surprises or "I don't knows", even when it comes to her billing and fees. This is why I am taking my time to write this, I LOVE Deb for standing by me when I needed it the most , I am so blessed I met her .

Recently the firm of Deborah Grover represented me in divorce before Judge Winslow resulting is what the legal world calls 'fair and equitable'. The judgement/settlement is a benchmark in my life and that of my kids as one might expect in ending a failed marriage. Three events define my experience ...with Ms. Grover during the year and a half of my case. From the start - a short consultation/review/interview distilled the nature and possible outcomes of various options to answer the complaint. If we had gone to court (as I think a less experienced attorney might have done) on personal property issues, then the result might have been very different. I followed her advice, even though I know that was hard for you to accept. In the end Deb was right (of course) and I got sole custody of my son who is now safe and sound.
