Colin A Colgan

I recently had the pleasure of working with Colin Colgan as he represented me in a Bankruptcy case. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and would always explain everything in great depth and let me know all of my options. He was always available when I had questions or concerns and kept me posted at ...all times of any changes. With his help a huge burden has been lifted off of me and I am grateful as he did a great job in expediting everything for me. Now I can get my life back on track.

I approached Colin when my family chose to give our house up to the bank in order to reestablish our credit worthiness. He recommended Chapter 7 and we proceeded based on his advice. At all points in the process, he instructed us to "not contact the bank" because they would try to put us on the hoo...k for the debt again. We had never been late on a single debt payment r mortgage payment, but because of a loss of employment, we were prepared enough to follow this route. The huge problem came years later when we found out the Colin failed to advise us about the deed in lieu of foreclosure, which he assumed the bank would initiate. There was no reason the bank had to, and as many people know, the banks were backlogged on processing. The end result: the bank only took possession of the home a short while ago when my family was hoping to buy another house. Instead we cannot buy a home and will be renting for another 3 years despite the turnaround in our economic status and because VA and FHA guidelines won;t even look at us until 3 years after the bank takes possession of the home. As painful and private as this ordeal has been I have only posted this hear to warn others, and to assure that your faith in proper advise and communication is not misplaced by using this lawyer. Do the research yourself and save yourself the $1000's and years of headache.
