I was in a Jefferson County court room requesting a protection order be granted on behalf of my son, Mr. Melihercik was in the same courtroom. I did not know Mr. Melihercik at the time, but would later come to find out how serendipitous this encounter would prove to be. My son was the victim of ...a very offensive hate crime, and his perpetrator was charged with a petty offense. Mr. Melihercik offered his advice and guidance. He studies and understands law, and human behavior. In my opinion, Mr. Melihercik went above and beyond by inquiring if additional charges would be added in addition to the petty charge imposed by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. It was Mr. Melihercik, who acknowledge the crime my son endured merited more than a petty offense, and with further investigation he proved to be correct, and additional significant charges were added. My son was granted a Permanent Protection Order. Mr. Melihercik is an attorney I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an ethical, meticulous, highly skilled, and knowledgeable attorney.
