Catherine Susan Lyster

Catherine Lyster handles diverse fields, including intellectual property, insurance, trusts and estates and general commercial matters. As part of this representation, Catherine has engaged in motion practice during all stages of trial and appellate work including legal strategy and preservation. Catherine also engages in counseling and advising commercial clients and entrepreneurs regarding day-to-day business management, contractual disputes, bankruptcy matters and insurance coverage disputes.

Catherine received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, in Environmental Studies from Pace University and a Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, with a Certificate in Environmental Law and a Certificate in International Law from Pace University School of Law. While in law school, Catherine was a Senior Associate for Pace Environmental Law Review and worked extensively throughout New York State developing her legal skills with a diverse array of internships in both the public and private sectors including the Environmental Protection Agency, The Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation, the Land Use Law Center, Kamaras & Schibetta, and Kavaluch & Associates. 

Born and raised in South Australia, Catherine has travelled extensively and has lived throughout Australia as well as Auckland, London, Barcelona and New York. Catherine is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to the courts of New York State and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
