I had a consultation, which was $175, that I came to very prepared and wanting help writing a letter of Intent to relocate with my child. She did not assist with that, and simply listened to my story and told me what I had already done research on. At a later date, when I was needing to retain her,... I asked her assitant if there was a possibility of payment installments and asked how I would be able to know how my money was being put to use, and that I was kindove upset she did not help with my letter. It was explained to me that help with the letter was not normally anything an attorney would do at consultation. I said ok, I had my question answered. Not a big deal! I just wanted to know. I later got a call from her assistant that her retainer was now $3000 instead of $1500, and she would not do installments, nor was she willing to take on my case because I stated I was upset she did not help me write the letter. I only spoke with her assistant, and was in no way upset, just curious. This was relayed in a very unprofessional manner, and now my $175 consultation was a waste of time and money because she will not take on my case. It may just be a case of a bad assistant relaying information incorrectly, but still, very unprofessionally handled.

After interviewing multiple attorneys prior to making a decision regarding who I wanted to represent me during my divorce, I chose Angela because my first impression of her was that she could be trusted, she would be ethical, and she was extremely knowledgeable. After meeting with her/speaking with ...her many times during the course of my divorce proceedings, I became increasingly impressed with her confidence and her compassion. She kept me informed and would explain to me the legal jargon if need be. She fought for the best interests of myself and my children, but I never got the impression that it was "just a job" for her. I was very comfortable with her, and pleased that it was easy to establish a rapport without feeling judged. She would almost always take my calls, and if she was unable to do so, she would promptly return my calls. I never questioned how my money was being spent, and she was worth every dime.

I went looking for a lawyer in 2006; I purposely wanted a woman to represent me. Attorney Angela Nichols Philipp was always very informative and I knew from the very beginning this case was going to be an uphill daily struggle right to the very end. At times just the sound of Angela’s voice gave me t...he reassurance and strength. Attorney Nichols Philipp always showed respect and professionalism in and out of the court room to me, the Judge and the legal system. I would recommend Attorney Nichols Philipp to anyone I know. She would be the first one I would call, even if it is for a recommendation for a lawyer for a different legal problem. I’m very impressed on how Angela Nichols Philipp stands up for her client.

She was very informative of what was going on with my case. I was always in the loop and got copies of everything that she had. She made a not so nice experience alot easier to handle and get through. I would recommend her to anyone that I know. She was great in family court and will stand up for her... clients!
