Excellent

Amy was very efficient, friendly and responsive. I sold my house by owner and she handled all of our document reviews ect. At the same time we were moving out of state and she flawlessly handled our closing on our behalf.

First time buyers who needed help with closing

My fiancée and I were in the process of closing on our first house, and so we came to Avvo to find an attorney to help us with that. We came across Amy and based on her ratings, we decided to go ahead and have her help us with all the closing documents. I could not have been more pleased with how eve...rything went. Amy is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and communicative. We had no idea what we were doing (or what we were in for) and Amy took us through the whole process. She explained everything step by step, making my fiancée and I feel much more comfortable with the whole thing. We ended up closing on the house in about 30 days (which was originally planned for 45 days), and even though it ended up being a shorter sale, Amy was able to be very punctual and timely with getting all the documents ready. There were times where the sellers/sellers attorney were not getting us the forms back that we needed, and Amy had no problem contacting them and letting them know to get on it. I would highly recommend working with Amy.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I endorse Amy Olson as one of the best landlord-tenant attorneys in the State of Illinois. I first encountered Amy as opposing counsel on a pro bono case where I represented the tenant. She was extremely fair and clearly knew the law (both procedure and substance) more than almost anyone in the courtroom. But what impressed me more than her knowledge, thoroughness, and attention to detail was her humility and genuine kindness. As I continued my own practice on the landlord side, I was able to observe her every week and she never succumbed to the arrogance and swagger that often accompanies victory after victory in court. For these reasons, I referred ALL my landord-tenant clients to her when I bought another law firm and focused my area of practice solely upon injury law. As an attorney, there is no other lawyer that I would trust with the legal work for landlords. Incidentally, I never asked for or received any referral fees for sending clients to Amy. I do it because she is the best!"
