I hired Wally Tetlow to help me with a legal matter based on a friend and colleagues's recommendation and I am so glad I did! I have never had any legal challenges in the past, and it was a very stressful period, facing a serious charge and not sure what to expect. Wally talked me through the entire ...process and what to expect at the outset and communicated clearly and professionally throughout, which was extremely reassuring, even when the outcome was uncertain. He then very thoroughly reviewed my case and effectively advocated on my behalf, and the charge was dismissed. His pricing was also very fair - I called around and he was either competitive with or cheaper than all other retainer fees - but more importantly, he clearly explained what was and wasn't included (and in the end there were no additional charges - he kept to his initial quote). Was facing an oui (dui) charge, had some extenuating circumstances spoke with several attorneys prior to mr Tetlow. The attorneys I spoke with didn’t seem to care about my case, one even wanted $7,000 up front. I had no idea where to turn to as I cold called about 4 attorneys without making much prog...ress. I was using google to try and find good lawyers and I stumbled across mr Tetlow on this site actually. Without making this a book here are some highlights of working with mr Tetlow: was easy to schedule a consultation, met in person with mr Tetlow for an hour, brought all my documentation with me regarding my case. After the conversation we had I felt comfortable hiring mr Tetlow to represent me. He presented a standard representation agreement that was easy to understand, short and laid out the fee structure simply. Mr Tetlow’s rate was comparable to the average oui defense rates. Mr Tetlow and his assistant kept in touch with me throughout the whole process and were very easy to get in touch with (which is a rarity as I discovered with others). He was very precise and to the point with all interactions, he did not try to convince me that he would win my case but assured me that I had a good defensible case. He was able to get my oui charge reduced down to a non criminal careless driving charge. I had extenuating circumstances at the time and am not saying he is able to do that with everyone, but he is an attorney that at least will hear out his clients, review all the evidence and will negotiate to the best of his abilities for you. Hopefully I will never need another attorney but if I do Mr Tetlow will be my first and only call. 5 stars

I'm a Single Mother/ Nurse who was wrongfully accused of DV/Child abuse due to soaping my daughters mouth. I made some mistakes and caught a slew of charges back in 2019. The DA got very excited and piled me up a boatload of overcharging. It was scary and had the potential to end very badly for me. The DA, especially the darn media, and even our judge really seemed to like this as an 'example' case. I... approached the best attorney I knew and when he looked at the paperwork he said "the best advice I can give you with a case like this is to get Wally Tetlow. That's the lawyer you want on this type of case." So I took my lawyer-friend's advice and that's what I did. I retained Wally as my attorney. And my friend was 110% right. It took some time and patience but Wally ultimately delivered me the result and the freedom I needed out of this resolution. I skated on 7 bad-boy charges and walked out with a B misdemeanor and time served. A $150 fine and we were done! We were forced to take a little detour through the court of appeals to spank an over-reaching judge but we won that and even got us a new judge! Wally is clearly an excellent criminal defense attorney. The judge and DA both noted on the record in open court that Wally is widely known and respected throughout Alaska's as one of the states best lawyers. What I liked most about Wally is that he is so friendly, simple, and approachable. He was never an arrogant, condescending ass and he always had time to listen and talk. He even answered his own phone many times. I can't imagine that a lawyer could have done any better for me than Wally did.
