Dale Walther grew up in Alaska and was a 1966 graduate of East Anchorage High School. He was admitted to the Alaska Bar in 1975 and has continuously practiced personal injury law in Alaska to date.
Mr. Walther received his B.A. degree with honors from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1972. He received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from California Western Law School in 1975 where he was presented with the Dean’s Award. He also has certificates from Notre Dame Law School – Sophia University and University of Southern California for studies in Japanese Law and Group Counseling, respectively.
He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association and has been a member of the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers and American Association for Justice, formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America in which he was a sustaining member. He has also earned the distinction of being named to the "Million Dollar Club” for trial attorneys and has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in America.
In June of 2009 Dale Walther was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in a ceremony attended at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. He is also admitted to practice before all Alaska state courts as well as all federal courts in the State of Alaska, and before the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Dale Walther has been involved in many precedent setting cases including Witt v. Watkins, 579 P.2d 1066 (Alaska, 1978); Broderick v. Kings Way, 808 P.2d 1211 (Alaska 1991); Routh v. U.S., 941 F.2d 853 (9th Cir. 1991); and Loeb v. Rasmussen, 822 P.2d 914 (Alaska 1991).
Dale and his wife “Kay”, who teaches math, are the parents of six children who have all graduated from high school in Anchorage and received their undergraduate degrees from Harvard (Kent); Northwestern (Brian and Nolan); Brigham Young University (Lisa and Curtis); and SUNY Buffalo (Katie).
