My first job as a lawyer was working as an insurance defense attorney representing people that were accused of harming others. I learned how insurance companies analyze and view claims and cases. Now, I use the information and experience to benefit my clients who have been injured.
My passion for helping people led me to also represent people accused of criminal crimes. I know the wheels of justice can be slow and have serious consequences if you are accussed of committing a crime.
Whether you accussed of a crime or injured by someone else, I know you are not the only person that suffers. Your family, friends, and co-workers are also negatively affected. I am grateful I can help you and your family.
I am liscensed to practice law in both Oregon and Washington state and federal courts. This allows me to represent client throughout all of Oregon and Washington.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my with my wife, chasing my three little boys, and experiencing life.

I use this experience and information to help provide my clients with advise so they can decide how to proceed with their cases.
Insurance commercials on TV try to convince you that your insurance company will take care of you when you are involved in a crash. But remember insurance companies want to make money and they do not want to make payments unless they must. When insurers terminate benefits, you need an attorney to stand up for you.

Michael doesn't ignore the little things that can affect a client like a lot of attorneys do. I often bounce ideas off of him because I trust his ability and judgment.

Michael and I had the pleasure of going to school together at Gonzaga. After we graduated, we worked together at Smith Freed & Eberhard where Michael excelled as a new lawyer and proved to many what I had always known--that he is a smart, resourceful and tenacious advocate for his clients. I'd recommend Michael to anyone looking for an honest attorney who will work hard for his clients.
