Mr. Nelson is highly unreliable and unreachable. Do not retain this man's services.

I would highly advise not using Mr. Nelson's services. I will give the man two stars, as he did assist positively during the early duration of our court hearings. Shortly thereafter, he was extremely difficult to get ahold of. I have reported him to the Bar of Washington for a multitude of grievances... and plan on taking legal action, as he has money left in my retainer, as well. I've sent a formal letter. These family court attorneys are truly the bottom of the barrel.

The attorney you want on your side

I was going through a divorce and used Jason for all of it. He and his secretary were quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Jason is extremely knowledgeable about family law and is very upfront with you about what is and is not realistic. He is very reasonably priced and isn't out ...to just get your money. Jason genuinely cared about my case. I have referred several people to him in the last year and they all loved him.

Organized, Smart, and Great Communication

I was first referred to Jason Nelson by a very respected Superior Court Judge. I immediately met with Jason and he has helped me tremendously ever since. This is my first time in a family law case (and hopefully last), and I was extremely nervous. Jason and his assistant, Cheryl, were both very sup...portive and always there to answer my questions. Jason was straight forward with me, and let me know if he thought the judge would go for what I was asking for or not. He listened well, and knew all of the facts 4 weeks later when we finally saw the judge.

"I endorse this lawyer. He takes care of his clients, he's responsive to their concerns, he's knowledgeable in law and makes sure that his clients understand. His strongest quality is that he's a man of intergrity. Mr. Nelson is committed to his work, and demonstates this through the effort he makes for his clients."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
