Professional

Tonya is very professional, she helped me in my very contentious divorce and fought for my rights as a dad. I know if I ever need her services again she is just a phone call away.

Tenacious, communicative attorney

I hired Tonya for a divorced and she did a wonderful job. Tonya is a great communicator and always did an excellent job of communicating with me about legal strategy, deadlines and what to expect as we proceeded with my divorce. She was very hardworking and prepared and her experience as a former p...rosecutor showed in court as she was obviously more comfortable and familiar with being in court than the other attorney. Tonya literally ran circles around the opposing attorney. She was always receptive to my input, polite but firm when she felt the case needed to go in a certain direction. You will be very happy with her work if you hire her.

Highly Recommend!!!

After interviewing several divorce attorneys, and being quite discouraged, I was referred to Tonya Rulli. I am so thankful that I took the time to interview one more attorney. She was so kind, professional, personal, confident, understanding of what was important to me and how I wanted to conduct m...yself in the divorce, but also made sure I did not back down and hurt my self by trying to be to nice. :) She is tough and well respected. I hope I never need a divorce attorney again, but if I did would hire her again.

Don’t need attorney like Tonya Rulli

I had a terrible experience with Tonya Rulli as my attorney. Over the course of a year, she made rude and dismissive comments, and I ended up spending over $20,000 with little to show for it. My temporary orders were some of the worst I could have imagined. Eventually, I decided to leave her, but not... before she threatened to stop representing me altogether. Whenever I had questions, especially when I didn’t understand something, instead of offering clear answers, she would tell me I was wasting her time and money. Rather than addressing my concerns, she would charge me for telling me my questions were irrelevant, often calling them “moot points.” It felt as though she didn’t care about my case, and I also began to feel that she had a personal bias against men. She seemed more interested in arguing with me than advocating for me. Tonya didn’t seem prepared for my case at all. She would often make critical mistakes—especially with my financials, where she misrepresented my income, which led to my ex receiving more money than they were entitled to. She took notes, but frequently forgot important details that were vital to my case. During hearings, I saw her fumbling with paperwork, and it seemed like she was unprepared. She didn’t make eye contact with the commissioner and appeared disorganized. Her billing was vague, and I’m certain I was charged for unnecessary work. On multiple occasions, both Tonya and her paralegal sent me the same emails, essentially doubling the charges and burning through my retainer. Bottom line: If you’re a man looking for a lawyer who will advocate for you and treat you with respect, I highly recommend you avoid Tonya Rulli. She was rude, unprofessional, and did not care about the outcome of my case. My experience with her and her firm was awful, and I felt like I was treated with complete disregard.

"Tonya is an excellent attorney and has a wealth of trial experience gained during her tenure as a Senior Deputy District Attorney for Clark County. Tonya has built a successful family law practice based on her intelligent, practical and strategic advice aimed at securing the best possible outcome for her clients and their families. Tonya is a tenacious advocate and far from being an "arm-chair" attorney, she actually enjoys appearing in court to represent her clients--and does so on a weekly basis--gaining invaluable first-hand knowledge of both the family law judges and local bar counsel. That knowledge enables her to secure great results for her clients, which she does on a regular basis."

  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
