I have always been dedicated to helping others in their time of need. Whether helping a parent denied valuable time with their child, a spouse going through a dificult divorce, or a client trying to get support for themself or their children, I am always ready to jump in and help you in your time of need. With care and compassion, I am here to stand by you, counsel and prepare you for the next steps, and vigorously defend your rights.
I have extensive experience in family and criminal law, which is especially helpful when cases cross over from divorce and custody to domestic violence and protection orders. Spending several years as a law clerk for a non-profit family law firm in Portland, before beginning practice in Clark County. I provide real-world advice to clients while successfully delivering results. I have represented clients in various family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, legal separations, child custody /visitation rights, spousal maintenance, child support issues, and committed intimate relationships (unmarried long-term relationships), as well as domestic violence and restraining order cases. In my criminal defense practice, I have handled an assortment of misdemeanor matters, including reckless driving, DUI, and warrant quashing matters.
I graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School and achieved certificates in both Criminal and Public Interest Law. I have had substantial experience helping clients with diverse family law issues during my practice. I work with clients to get affordable representation when possible. This includes consultations and unbundled services helping clients to represent themselves when necessary.
As a law clerk, I spent the majority of my time in court, gaining invaluable experience before judges in two counties. I volunteered with the Domestic Violence Coordinator’s Office and the National Crime Victims’ Law Institute during law school to learn the intricacies of the criminal justice system. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington with a double-major in Communications and Social Sciences.
In my spare time I enjoy exploring the beautiful waterfall hiking trails of the Pacific Northwest, or on a rainy afternoon staying in with a good book. Additionally, I can often be found volunteering at the Humane Society of Southwest Washington helping pets find their forever homes.

Bad experience
I hired Tanya for a family law case and she turned my pleadings in late and the judge didn't review them. I had no way to defend myself, with substantial abide nice. She refused to pay my money back and I lost my case. She is irresponsible. I would not go back to Her.
I appreciate feedback from clients and also understand that the court system does not always deliver the results that clients seek as their ideal. Since graduating from Lewis and Clark Law School, I have dedicated myself to vigorously defending the rights of parents and spouses in divorce and separation matters and I fight hard to help my clients achieve their goals. Much of family law is dependent on how judges view the facts, but results are also dependent on the procedural rights and obligations inherent in the system. Sometimes clients choose to strive for results that are clearly difficult to obtain, given the rules and standards in light of the particular facts in a case. Although I always try to make clients well aware of my honest and objective opinion regarding the difficulties they may face, I am not afraid to take on difficult cases and fight uphill battles. Those difficult battles can sometimes be won, but lawyers cannot often change the baseline laws nor can they force judges to see facts in the best light for their clients. I can and do work very hard for my clients and put up a real fight to achieve their goals. A good part of the battle is also having clients provide documentation in a timely manner and working closely with their attorney to give them the best chance possible. While I cannot comment on individual cases, I am always willing to discuss concerns and individual results with my clients. I do understand, ultimately, that there are times when the fairly predictable results of fighting against an overwhelming tide can, nonetheless, feel very traumatizing.

Great Family Attorney for Men's Rights
Tanya did such a wonderful job fighting for a man's right to have custody his children. Our family was in a very difficult situation that really pulled on our heart strings and Tanya fought for what was best for my children. She showed concern and was persistent to have the children in the right hous...

Tanya Green's Job Performance
I can easily endorse Tanya Green. She represented my daughter in her divorce proceedings, which I, her father, paid the legal fees. Ms. Green secured sole custody of my grandson for my daughter, which is what we were looking for going in. I found Ms. Green to be pleasant, forthright and effective.
"Tanya is an excellent family law attorney with high emotional intelligence (EQ). She cares deeply about securing a good result for her clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Tanya is a deeply caring and zealous advocate for her clients. She also volunteers numerous hours assisting those in need of legal services but unable to afford them. She is extremely hardworking, and does her absolute best for every client. I highly recommend Tanya if you are going through a tough family law matter."
"Tanya is an extremely intelligent and hard-working attorney. She is honest and analytical. Tanya cares deeply for her clients and will do everything in her power to obtain just results. I don't know many lawyers that work as hard as Tanya. I endorse this lawyer."
"Tanya is a fierce advocate for her clients. She is very smart and very hard working. I endorse this lawyer."
"Tanya is a go-getter. She is extremely intelligent, caring and willing to go the extra mile. She is not afraid to go after her client's goals. She will be straightforward about a client's chances but won't hesitate to take on an uphill battle and fight for her clients. When clients want a cooperative approach, she maintains good relationships with other attorneys and is a great negotiator. Unlike some attorneys who create conflict to increase fees, Tanya is focused primarily on her clients' interests. I highly endorse her without reservation."
