I have extensive experience in family and criminal law, which is especially helpful when cases cross over from divorce and custody to domestic violence and protection orders. Spending several years as a law clerk for a non-profit family law firm in Portland, before beginning practice in Clark County. I provide real-world advice to clients while successfully delivering results. I have represented clients in various family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, legal separations, child custody /visitation rights, spousal maintenance, child support issues, and committed intimate relationships (unmarried long-term relationships), as well as domestic violence and restraining order cases. In my criminal defense practice, I have handled an assortment of misdemeanor matters, including reckless driving, DUI, and warrant quashing matters.Â
I graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School and achieved certificates in both Criminal and Public Interest Law. I have had substantial experience helping clients with diverse family law issues during my practice. I work with clients to get affordable representation when possible. This includes consultations and unbundled services helping clients to represent themselves when necessary.Â
As a law clerk, I spent the majority of my time in court, gaining invaluable experience before judges in two counties. I volunteered with the Domestic Violence Coordinator’s Office and the National Crime Victims’ Law Institute during law school to learn the intricacies of the criminal justice system. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington with a double-major in Communications and Social Sciences. Â
In my spare time I enjoy exploring the beautiful waterfall hiking trails of the Pacific Northwest, or on a rainy afternoon staying in with a good book. Additionally, I can often be found volunteering at the Humane Society of Southwest Washington helping pets find their forever homes. Â
