Amazing attorney

Miranda Baner is the best at what she does. Not only is she knowledgeable, she also has the best ability to refer superb professionals in whatever else is needed in the case of an individual. She has been completely responsive regarding questions on her cases and will fight for justice with incredibl...e tact and fairness. She is also realistic when it comes to certain requests, which I have greatly appreciated. And she is very clear about translating the language of the law for people like me who don’t understand clearly what those certain terms mean specifically. Her patience with me when it comes to that has been something not only outstanding but much appreciated! I am so grateful to have found her in my time of need and desperation. She is also a beautiful person inside and out and clearly cares about her clients needs. I would have been lost if I didn’t have her in my corner.

Mama bear looking out for other moms

To say that I found Miranda at a very low point would be an understatement. She helped me when I had left my now ex-husband with nothing but our 3 yr old and our stuff. I was a full time college student and could barely afford attorney's fees. She met with me and gave me advice to be able to attend 3... hearings on my own and when I needed full legal representation she was there, no questions asked. She saw how important certain aspects of my parenting plan are and helped me fight for those. No, I didn't get everything I wanted, but realistically you don't in a divorce and no attorney can give you that. What she did give me was peace of mind knowing that my daughters (and mine) best interests are legally binding and my exes actions can be held accountable in the future. A peace of mind if you will. I'm forever grateful for her and her stuff, especially handling a contested divorce during COVID. It was nothing short of a wonderful experience. She was honest and upfront about parts that I knew I couldn't "win" and helped me get the ones that I could. As much as it pains me to know I'll need her services in the future, I'm grateful I've found someone I can trust to not only be there as my lawyer, but as another mom looking out for other moms. Divorce isn't easy, especially a narcissist, but she made it smoother and handled it with grace.

Fantastic

Miranda came recommended by a family member and she did not disappoint. I had a special case between states with custody and she not only knew the laws pertaining to what I was needing but was also very upfront about everything that could happen from best case scenario to worst case scenario. Having ...everything laid out from the beginning was helpful. She was professional and also personable and made us feel like we weren't just another number but a true client to help. Communication was very open, prompt and understandable about absolutely every step that was taking place with each aspect of the case. Her Paralegals were also amazing at what they do as well and were there for a lot of the communication. I would highly recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again if the need ever comes up. She and her firm are definitely worth it.

Baner and Baner, rockstars of family law

Miranda was the best family lawyer ever. I went to, two other family lawyers before her and while I was not disappointed by one of the other two I was overwhelmed by Miranda. Her office staff and partner (husband) were always helpful and knowledgeable in every aspect of my case. As a man in Washingto...n state and being black I felt that maybe the court process would be difficult. I also had the a punishing experience in family court with another attorney before Miranda. Miranda came in fixed all the problems that I brought her and took my case with the seriousness and professionalism that you would expect from a seasoned attorney. Miranda took What was 6 years of litigation and got me an overwhelmingly favorable patenting plan that suited the needs of my family and I. I also got full custody of my son a few weeks after She was done due to the work and foundation that She built. I was happy with just having the parenting plan in my favor and due to the continued effort She gave, I was able to get my son and raise him with all of his family. Most of all I was impressed with Miranda's caring and concern. I was done with my case and She still contacted me to see how everything was going. I don't know where She might ever come up short because I never saw it but I'm sure the compassion, knowledge, and honest concern would always make up for anything that anyone could perceive as such. Miranda left me feeling like I mattered, She cared, and She was part of the family. Thank you Baner and Baner for a great new beginning to the rest of my life! I Love these guys!

Family Law

Entering a custody dispute is a highly stressful time. Miranda was the only person who could give me any ideas of what to expect from all of it and she kept me on track. She cares about families and I never got the impression that I was just a job to her. She was also a great mediator for a time w...hen tact over aggression is key in dealing with friction between parties. She was firm but I think conveyed to the other party my wishes to come to a mutual agreement in a complicated matter.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
