Effective and Empathic

If you find yourself facing the unfortunate reality of divorce, your experience will be made more bearable by Miranda Baner and Noel (Miranda's paralegal). During an emotionally stressful time, the Baner team provided timely responses, thoughtful strategies, and a welcome level of professionalism and... empathy. Miranda and Noel were efficient, consistently patient, and genuinely helpful preparing for and during my divorce mediation. Considering the reality of legal fees, you can rest assured that your best interest is their primary concern. Highly recommended legal team.

A miracle in human form!

Miranda was professional, thorough, and understanding of my situation. Her team was also attentive and helpful in communicating with me throughout the entire divorce process. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and I regret not going to her sooner in the divorce process. In the end, she...'s helped me finally live my life and leave my past behind me. Love her!

No Fuss No Muss Attorney!

I found Mrs Baner through a girlfriend when I was starting my divorce process. Thank goodness I was advised to contact her. She is a "No Muss No Fuss" kinda girl! I let her know that the Ex was gonna fight dirty and she said we could do the same if needed. I had a few instances where she needed to ...file orders to make him stop and that happened almost immediately. She is like the mama bear you never knew you needed. She had to listen to me cry a lot but she was always so supportive and positive and would build me back up. When we went through mediation it was Covid time so I couldn't be near her. She assured me she had done quite a few cases by Zoom so she knew what to do. I have had to use her even after my divorce was final because Ex figured he could start crap again due to not having lawyers anymore. She was there for me in a "Jiffy" Thank you Miranda, I hope I don't need you again but if I do I know you will be there!!

An advocate respected in the legal community

I hired Mrs. Baner to assist me in a post divorce mediation situation. While I had initially opened to work through mediation without representation the other party obtained counsel and while I never felt inability to represent myself the handling by legal on the other side made it clear I was not s...een as an equal or something to be given respect and open communication. After being manipulated and shoved around and give false/bogus legal threats to try to intimidate me it became clear that I would not be respected or taken seriously without having my own legal counsel. I spoke with approximately half a dozen attorney's and was turned off by many. In the same way the counter parties counsel had approached me and handled the situation so many attorney's pitched themselves as being aggressive and being able to "get a win", that they almost seemed eager for a fight. I always tried to open up with my situation not being about winning but being taken as an equal party in mediation (which ironically shouldn't even require an attorney) and making sure a lack of representation was not (if only perceptual) a disadvantage. Mrs. Baner understood my position on the matter, what I was actually looking for, and actually understood what I was not looking to do which was equally as important to me. She was not afraid to correct me thoughts and views when they were truly not going to be legally sound (and thus be of no value in mediation) but also fully supportive on the items that would be of merit. I hired her to both diffuse any legal bulldozing by opposing counsel but also to make sure I did not equally make a fool of myself or waste time arguing things that were perhaps subjectively and emotionally valuable but legally of no value in our case. After hiring Miranda I had several attorneys circle back with me and every single one of them said the same thing "I'm sorry I wasn't able to work with you on this but you made a good choice", and that was unsolicited feedback. It became very clear how well known Miranda is and in my experience how respected she is in the legal community. Miranda was well acquainted with our mediator and while there was no impropriety she was informed from prior mediations how best to communicate our position and to put us in the best position to argue our case. Every case is going to be unique but if you are looking for someone to represent *YOU* well, someone that is in my opinion known for the right reasons, this firm needs to be on your short list. She won't sugar coat things, she will tell you when your wrong, and when the time comes to present your case you will have a known quantity. The impression I had from beginning to end is that Miranda is just as selective in the cases she takes and the clients she chooses to work with. Some people look for certain traits in their legal representation and its important to make sure you have a match on both sides. For my family and our case, Miranda was exactly what I was looking for.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
