In November 2017, I was facing a DUI charge. I had absolutely no idea how to go about choosing an attorney – I just knew I needed one right away. There were so many ads to choose from on the internet – it was overwhelming. I decided to reach out to Horwath Law Offices and a couple other places to get... information about what I should do next. I was emotionally distraught and Angela Horwath got back to me immediately. When I spoke with her, I was so reassured by her calm and caring manner. In fact, her whole team was kind and treated me with respect. My situation was ugly because I had an alcohol-related infraction on my driving record from 25 years ago. Those things never go away. I was so worried that I was going to go to jail, lose my license for at least a year, and lose my job. Earlier this year I was facing a DUI charge. I had never faced anything like this before and was completely at a loss for what to do. It seriously felt like my whole future had just been derailed. Not only was I facing the standard consequences of a DUI, but my application for naturalization was also... at risk... Something I had been preparing for months prior to the incident. Angela and her staff are simply amazing! I initially called Horwath Law on a Sunday morning; fully expecting to leave a message with a recording service. Unbeknownst to me Angela answered my call and for the next thirty (30) minutes listened to my story and plea for help. My adulthood has taken me to Iraq several times, yet my fear and angst was never tested in the same manner as it was sitting in a courtroom in Washington. Angela's guidance, ability to listen, and genuine desire to help are what makes her unique. At no time did I ever feel judged by anyone in her firm, the moment she entered the court I felt an overwhelming peace wash over the room and immediately there was no judgement there either. Though I never met Angela or her staff before this event, each time I interacted with them resembled the manner in which you might speak with a close friend. Her candor is unparalleled and what she said would happen, did in fact occur. Her professionalism and busy savvy are compelling; allowing you to see how passionate she is about her craft, yet her heart is full, allowing you to see how much she cares! If you are reading this, presumably you are looking for an attorney yourself. If you are like me you will question the legitimacy of these reviews, and wonder if Horwath Law is as good as this lengthy write up says it is? I would submit to you that you are most likely hours or days removed from whatever event that led you to this site. You are reading this review searching for circumstances that are similar to your own so that you might figure out how your situation may end. You are researching each legal website, looking for that glimmer of hope to give you a momentary peace, that everything will be alright. What you aren't doing though is acting; taking that initial step toward the beginning of the end. I know in my heart had I allowed another attorney to represent me I would not have realized the outcome I did. I would have been one of those poor souls that was led to the courtroom by an attorney that was invested in their clients money, versus their client. If, after reading this, you still are not convinced, pick up the phone and talk to Angela and her team. Tell her your story and witness for yourself how deeply she cares. First and last DUI charge. I read really great reviews about Angela and her team so I consulted them right away. I first spoke with Alycia, who is fantastic. She is patient, organized, and she was always updating me on any progress of the case. I spoke to Angela right after and she was so kind and e...mpathetic. I did not feel judged, and I could tell she was knowledgeable about the law, especially with these types of cases. During this process I had a chance to work with Amanda as well, who was very professional and reassuring. She definitely got me through my nerves during the arraignment unscathed. Angela was with me for my court hearing and she was absolutely incredible! She kept going back to talk to the prosecutor, and finally, got my sentence amended to negligent driving in the first degree. Wow. She is quite a force, obviously an intelligent and respectable force, to be reckoned with in the WA court system. I somehow got out of any vehicle license suspension too. She's magic. Angela and her team are well known, and believe me, you want them. I had a few chances during this time to see other people's attorneys and no one was more professional and more of an advocate for their client than I felt than Angela and team. No bias. What's more is that this team treats you like a person instead of a case. They are always available. They told me to let them do all the worrying, and I really felt that they did a lot of magic behind the scenes. Overall, it was a smooth process and they helped move the case forward quickly.
