My Wonderful Lawyer

Nicole is an excellent lawyer. I felt so seen by her. She listened to me, she shared herself with me, and she believed in me. Her support was comforting and so necessary as I moved through the formidable process of being investigated by the DOH. From the outset, she made herself completely available ...to me and made sure to include me in every aspect of our process together. She advocated for me in a skillful and honest way, and because of her support, we were successful in closing the case within four months (granted my case was not a complicated one). I highly recommend Nicole for any case involving the DOH of Washington State. She is caring and personable, efficient and talented.

Nicole saved my future!

As a counselor fresh in the mental health field, I was naïve and answered questions on the application in a way that was an inaccurate representation of who I was. The DOH tried to force me into a four-year treatment program after requesting I get an a evaluation which recommended no treatment. After... attempting to defend myself and get questions answered, I reached a point where I was heartbroken and felt so bullied and hopeless. I reached out to Nicole for assistance to advocate for me, as I knew I had no chance of getting any movement on my own. I had never had to hire an attorney before, she came personally recommended and I was very nervous. Right away I knew I was in good hands. Nicole has great attention to detail and is very communicative. She immediately allowed me to feel like I can breathe for the first time in months. She gave me direction and kept me up-to-date regularly on what was transpiring. With the help of Nicole I beat my case! I would highly recommend her, she is a force!

The BEST

Nicole was with me every step of the way, through one of the scariest time in my 30 year nursing career. She saw the pain that an accusation can cause, even when the state is involved. After she said,"Don't worry", I didnt. And my reputation was upheld and my spotless record remains that way. I would... trust Nicole with my license , just knowing she is a phone call away, makes going to work the best part of my day.

The exception to all the bad lawyer jokes!

Nicole recently represented me in a case with the state medical board. She was exceptional in every way - not only in the beginning when she educated and reassured me, but also as the case progressed she was able to procure a settlement with very minimal consequences. She is very bright and knowledga...ble about the law, and is equally passionate about protecting the rights of the "little guy" against the big overstepping government. Her background in ethics is very beneficial when dealing with these issues as well. I can't say enough great things about Nicole and Peggy too. I feel like I not only won my case but now have a good friend. I highly recommend Nicole without reservation.

Completely Disengaged

I have a solo medical practice. She was referred to me by another attorney firm. I wanted answers to questions concerning forming a corporation in such a manner that I wouldn't expose myself to the risk of violating federal laws - specifically the anti-Stark and anti-kickback laws. Nicole was plea...sant to chat with on the telephone. She told me to visit her website to learn more about her company. She assured me that either herself or one of her two assistant attorneys would manage my case. She sent me paperwork via email and I submitted a check to cover a retainer. It was then that things went sideways ... 10 days elapsed without communication aside from confirming that she received the $2000 check. I finally received an email from her explaining that " please note that this is an extremely complex, high stakes area of law. While the facts appear simple on the surface, the legal issues are not always straightforward. A full analysis will take some time to ensure we give you accurate advice. Depending on how our initial analysis goes, we may recommend at some point getting a second view." I responded with "I have selected your company as you have an expertise in this matter. If you think that it will be too complicated then let me know now and I can hire a different law firm. I don't understand why I would pay twice to receive the same service." Her assistant attorney responded 4 days later with "Nicole asked me to get back to you as she is out of town. You are welcome to consult with another firm for this matter." I responded with "i want a personal phone call from Nicole to discuss this matter. it can wait until she returns.". I never heard back from Nicole. I felt mislead by Nicole. I wish she had just told me that from the start so I didn't waste 14 days until she sent the email informing me that they would need help from a more experienced law firm. Second, I felt neglected when her firm so quickly threw me to the curb simply for standing up for myself. If it was truly that complicated why didn't Nicole tell me that during our first conversation (she possessed all the facts surrounding the formation of the company at that time). Third, it's extremely unprofessional to have an assistant attorney dismiss a client when my relationship had been with Nicole Li. I quickly called up an established law firm who told me they don't handle this matter but referred me to another law firm that did handle it. This attorney was quick to take my phone call, explain to me what would be the key issues and gave me an estimation of what it would cost.
