He didn't tell me his license was being suspended!

I hired Mr. Longacre back in 2005. He took my money, and asked for more right before his license was suspended. He ended up not showing up in Court because he hadn't gotten the paperwork in to get his license back. He lost my case because he failed to submit the paperwork to the courts by the time th...ey told us it was due. First he said he would appeal it for free, then demanded more money.

Clients Beware

I retained Mr. Lonacre for my grandaughter, on two felony charges, he is very unprofessional, and has no staff except his girl friend, which he using as a secetary. Does'nt keep you informed of what is happing, shows up to court late, or doesn't bother to show up, we paid his retainer of $5,000 for... each charge plus $3,000, for a grand total of $13,000, he calls only to demand more money. Has done nothing but write a brief which he told my grandaughter , that was another $5,000 , it had missed spelled words, the wrong date and was only two pages, I think he is the worst attorney I have ever had to deal with, he would text my grandaughter and Threaten her (if she didn't give him more money he would not appear in court, or he would with draw as her attorney, which in the end he did, with no refund of any of the money . They did drop one charge, but no thanks to him. We knew that would happen, due to illeagal search. Our experience with him was stressful and degrading. So all I have to say is client beware.

My full recommendation

My name is Apolonio Vega Garcis, on July 12, 12010 I was arrested and charged with 3 felonies and 1 misdemeanor. I was given a public defender and I professed my innocence but the public defender had neither the time nor inclination to believe or defend me properly. After 5 months I was offered a yea...r and a day in prison as plea from the prosecution, my PD urged me to accept to the offer. It became obvious that I was an innocent man and was going to be sent to prison. My family refused to accept that and started to search for a good lawyer to represent me and by word of mouth and extensive searching, Clayton Longacre was found. Clayton came to see me at 8:30 that night, he asked me what happened and listened to me without interruption for half an hour. He said he wished I had called him sooner and that he would ‘take care of me.’ For the first time in 6 months I had hope. Clayton investigated the arrest and interviewed everyone involved including the police, the witnesses, and the accuser. On Feb. 3 we went to jury trial, the prosecution was asking for a sentence of 5 years. Throughout the trial Clayton was able to point out time and time again the facts which proved my innocence. After only 3 hours of deliberation the jury returned with a Not Guilty verdict on all 4 charges. I did not get off by a technicality; Clayton proved that I was innocent. If I were sent to prison at 58 for 5 years I’m sure it would’ve ruined my life forever, Clayton Longacre saved my life. I have spoken with him several times since I got out, he really cares for the people he defends. I owe him a debt which I can’t adequately pay. If you need legal representation you cannot do better than Clayton Longacre. Clayton Longacre has outstanding ethics and is fully recommended.

Non-responsive, unorganized. good heart

Mr.Longacre is very difficult to reach, neither he or his occassional staff return calls or emails in a timely manner, which makes for a very and stressful situation. I telephoned him at his office and on his cellular phone on numerous occassions without success. He is frequently late to court or o...n occassion might not even appear. He is a very nice man, but is often ill or away from the office; not very professional or responsive. His correspondence gets the point across, but he needs someone to review for grammar and once again, professional appearance. If you are looking for someone to represent you in a drug or criminal case - he is definately the man! He has a great deal of experience & knows drug law very well. I would not recommend him for any other type of representation, he just does not have staff that is experienced with computers or legalize to provide what is necessary.
