Robert Joseph La Rocco

Mr. LaRocco failed to do any work after I hired him in September, 2015. He failed to respond to calls and emails until I sent him a certified letter in January, 2016. When he responded to that he gave me a case number and court date that I later learned was someone else's. In truth, he never filed un...til I called and demanded an immediate meeting, and he filed it 30 minutes before said meeting. I fired him at that point, in April, 2016. I had great difficulty getting my money back, but after almost two months I did, which makes me more fortunate that most. THAT SAID... I filed a grievance with the Washington State Bar Association, ultimately resulting in a two year suspension, with more charges coming.

Hired Robert to handle two cases and promised to file 9 months ago and has not followed through on a single promise he made. He took my $2000 and has not been a man of his word. He lied to me about filing and stated we had court dates then said a month later we did not because he needed to file. S...till waiting and now pursuing a competent attorney. RUN!!!!!

Paid him upfront for a bankruptcy, he never returned calls or emails. Failed to show up for court TWICE!! His office closed down and he was nowhere to be found. Filed a police report and the police told me they'd received other complaints about Larocco similar to mine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MA...N!

Robert went to my first hearing and called me to say it went "Horrible, Horrible. Horrible." He then told me that he would get an "Emergency Hearing" for the child support or at worst there was a 90 day review. Neither happened. At the "mediation" facts were misrepresented. When the draft came via em...ail I called to say it was not acceptable. 90 days later I sent Robert an E-mail detailing WHY as I had not heard from him. My Ex was telling me that my attorney hadn't been at any of the court dates or meetings, I was unaware of ANY court dates or meetings with the exception of the first. At the mediation Robert told me of several Judgements against me of which I was unaware. I called the umbrella group and complained. Robert called on a Friday to request the same documents I has sent the previous year and said he was on it. I complied and heard no more. I went to the Court house to get the "Do it yourself" child support modification and found that it was a permanent order, I also discovered that the final decree had been filed 6 months earlier, there were no signatures on the court copy, mine or Roberts, he apparently "waived" my right to appear. I again called the parent group. They explained that I had a responsibility to understand the papers, I told them I did, and had tasked Robert immediately upon receipt. So after a year and 4600 dollars I am divorced without having been to court, signed a final document, or had my wishes represented or explained why not. I was also told that Robert was not working on the modification as he had told me in a pleasant e-mail from Divorce Lawyers For Men. I understand losing a ruling, but I do not believe I was represented, or bare minimum representation without explanation. Result, no house, no retirement, bad visitation, and a pile of unnecessary debt. I would have been better off doing this myself. Probably a great tax lawyer

Robert needs to communicate better with his clients. It seems as if he only wants your money, and then nothing else is done in your case. I'm very upset with the way my case was handled. As a client, not an attorney, I expect to be informed and educated about what my specific situation involves. I fe...lt like I was the attorney doing my own research, because Robert failed to call me. I strongly urge others to talk to Robert about what is going to be done in their case before paying him a dime! The work will not get done! I think this attorney does not truly care about his clients, and unfortunately, it shows. I am now working with a superb attorney who has actually researched my case and has done more than Robert in a short time frame. So disappointed!
