I am a trial lawyer with extensive litigation experience. I am a lifelong Washington resident and a member of the King, Snohomish and Washington State Bar Associations.
I received my B.A. from the University of Washington and my Law Degree from Seattle University Law School. While in college, I worked in a law office as a paralegal. During law school, I worked as both a bailiff and law clerk in King County Superior Court and in United States District Court, spending a lot of time in the courtroom learning from both good and bad lawyers. After passing the bar, I served as a Deputy Prosecutor in King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. While there, I honed my trial and negotiation skills. I also learned to manage complex, difficult cases.
I joined The Walthew Law Firm in March of 2007 and have been a partner since 2015. Since joining The Walthew Law Firm, I have focused my practice on only representing injured and disabled workers in Washington State's Workers' Compensation system and in personal injury cases. Our office has been providing legal counsel to injured people for over 80 years. All of the attorneys at The Walthew Law Firm exclusively represent people who have been injured or are disabled. We do not represent employers or insurance companies.
I have litigated and settled countless claims at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and in Superior Court. In my 20 years of practice I have tried over 80 jury trials.
If you are in need of legal advice regarding how to deal with an insurance company, a self-insured employer, or the Department of Labor and Industries, please do not hesitate to give me a call. I am happy to talk to you to see if we can help you with your case.

"I endorse this lawyer. He was a worthy adversary in trials in which we were on opposing sides, competent and ethical."
"Patrick was a demanding supervisor, but the experience of working with him was invaluable. He is an experienced litigator who thinks ten steps ahead. Every case he is involved with is important to him. He is able to connect with people so that he understands their needs and can effectively advocate for them. When faced with a changed situation, he is able to dynamically adjust his strategy and adapt. He is straight forward and professional at all times. Highly respected and recommended.."
"For Worker's Compensation, Patrick is the best attorney in Washington, hands down. He is bright, motivated, and diligent in working for his clients. I refer all my worker compensation cases to him, and my clients have always been very happy with his representation."
"Mr. Cook is a professional in every regard. His knowledge of the law and passion for his clients sets him apart from the pack. I endorse this lawyer."
"I have known Patrick Cook since he was a prosecutor with King county many, many years ago. A straight-up, caring person, he always sought "justice", a rare commodity in many attorneys or aspects of our judicial system. I send all my Workmen's Comp cases to him because of his skill and diligent hard work, as well as the fact that his firm has been the "go to" Workmen's Comp firm for decades! I trust him with my most valued friends and clients! You won't go wrong!"
