Biography
Josh Field is a seasoned criminal defense attorney who also has considerable experience in political communications and campaign operations.
Mr. Field currently serves as a Snohomish County Public Defender, where he has worked in both the misdemeanor and felony trial units. He also has appellate experience from his work at the Innocence Project Northwest Clinic where he litigated and investigated pro bono post-conviction appeals for indigent prisoners who maintain their innocence in cases where evidence like DNA testing could prove actual innocence.
Mr. Field was appointed by the Obama Administration as the Press Director at Peace Corps in Washington, DC where he served as senior staff member and managed the daily operations of the Office of Press Relations and its staff. Prior to joining the Peace Corps, he was the Washington State Communications Director for the 2008 Obama for America Campaign. In that capacity, Mr. Field managed state-wide media efforts and served as chief state campaign writer and state campaign spokesman. In addition to his service to the Obama Administration, Mr. Field has held various communications and political positions at the national and state level, working for, among others, U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy.
Mr. Field holds an undergraduate degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University and a Juris Doctor law degree from University of Washington School of Law.
