John Robert Mcdowall

Mr. McDowall represents owners, developers, investors, asset managers and lenders on all types of real estate projects, including acquisitions and sales of property, leasing, financing, joint ventures, entity formation, land use issues and litigation over real estate developments and leases. He frequently advises both tenants and owners on commercial, office, industrial, medical and retail leases

Mr. McDowall acts as general counsel to several closely-held companies in many industries, advising them regarding company formation, debt and equity financings, acquisitions, sales, mergers, contract negotiations, employee and non-compete issues, and business planning and litigation issues. He has also represented private equity groups and institutional investors on the acquisition of privately-held companies and related matters.

Mr. McDowall has represented public and private owners, port districts, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all phases of construction projects, including procurement, contract drafting and negotiation, and prosecution and defense of delay claims, claims for extra work and defective construction.
