When a 911 call for a medical emergency unexpectedly turned into an assault DV charge, I was thrown into a panic. Thanks to Google I found AVVO, but was overwhelmed by all the choices and similar-sounding attorney profiles. I chose Denice because a friend's attorney (who doesn't handle DV cases) re...commended her and I could tell as soon as I met her that Denice knew her stuff. I'm so glad I went with her! My case was dismissed early on, which itself was a victory and relief, and Denice was very competent and hard working. She proactively contacted the prosecutor and went to bat for me even before the arraignment. She explained everything clearly and thoroughly and had strategy. You could tell she was very knowledgeable about the law and the judge and the system, and she was conscientious. She was also great about communicating with me and returning my texts--even when she was on vacation- and she was always on time. I felt so much more confident in Denice's care; it was comforting to know she was fighting for me. One other plus: I found that some of the lawyers listed on AVVO whom I called would not actually be the one handling my case-- some less experienced attorney in their firm would. I unfortunately had my third DUI that I was dealing with, with strict probation and courts in 2 different counties. Denice had her work cut out for her. She is very well connected with Seattle legal programs, judges and prosecutors. I knew she would be able to help me best. One courts probation... was looking at adding charges and jail time just for getting a third DUI. However Denice made it all ok, this probation department was hammering at me for months, but in the end Denice won, I didn’t have more charges added due to Third DUI being a deferred prosecution. She helped me with so much, she coordinated all my reports from treatment agencies, she mitigated issues with my repulsive probation officer, she went above and beyond numerous times. She made my probation office look foolish and dishonest in front of the judge and prosecutor. She was a warrior and a God send. Without her I’d be in jail, and not getting the help that I needed to get through some very horrific attacks on me, which is why I was self medicating. Thank you Denice, you are the best!

I hired Denice because of her experience as a previous prosecutor. I knew she had been on 'the other side" of the courtroom and she knew the system. She kept in contact with me throughout the entire processes and was determined to get the best possible outcome. She had plan A,B,C ... in the end her p...erseverance paid off.
