Wills and Living Wills 50%

I provide a package of the three personal documents that most people want and need: Last Will, Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive (also called a "Living Will"). My flat fee for complete services is $500.00 for an individual, and $750.00 for a couple. This includes personal consultations, first drafts mailed to you for review, revisions and final drafts, and my personal supervision at final execution (signing). House and hospital calls are free within King County.

Personal Injury 30%

I represent victims of auto accidents on a one-third contingency fee, which is standard. Before you settle with an insurance company, make sure to call an attorney first. There may be cases where a client does better dealing with an insurance company on his own, but I haven't seen one yet. Working with an attorney takes longer, but what ends up in your pocket is significantly more, even after the attorney takes his one-third cut. For quick and easy settlements, I sometimes discount my share.

Probate 10%

Probate need not be expensive or complicated, but it can take time. First, one should determine whether probate is even necessary. In many cases, it is not. I provide prompt, efficient probate services for an hourly fee of $150.00. Clients can minimize costs by doing much of the "busy work" themselves, which I encourage. If everyone cooperates and doesn't procrastinate, a probate can be completed within six months for a few thousand dollars. It is not as bad as some people make it sound.

Contracts and Agreements 5%

A $150.00 hourly fee is charged to individuals and small businesses for drafting or reviewing contracts, deeds, leases, and other routine business forms, documents and transactions. Free initial consultation, and free house calls to your home or office. Payment plans available. Same day service, if needed.

Debt Settlement 5%

Are you being sued, or are creditors calling? Yet you do not want to declare bankruptcy? I can assist you with negotiating a workable payment plan with your creditors. (If you have been served with a summons and complaint, do not delay. You need to file an answer immediately. I can do that for you.)

Respectful, responsive and reasonable attorney.

I've worked with Attorney Sjolie for estate planning matters and in the creation of trusts for the benefit of family members. He has a small practice which allows him to respond and evaluate my requests in a timely fashion. He listens carefully to my own legal concerns, is able to ask pertinent quest...ions in a respectful manner, and gives clear advice without judgement. Mr. Sjolie rates are also very reasonable, especially for the level of quality one receives when working with him. I recommend Attorney Sjolie with the utmost sincerity for estate planning matters and other legal concerns.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
