Helene Ellenbogen

Helene is a cut-to-the-chase type of person, which is exactly what one needs in a lawyer or consultant. She isn't there to be your therapist, and frankly, it's you dollar so knowing that and sticking the script will save you a few bucks anyway. That is not to say she's is anything besides very kind a...nd helpful, because she is both of those things. She knows how to get results and I would highly recommend her as a lawyer and/or consultant.

She is a terrific lawyer. My case was a mess. I tried to represent myself and was completely confused. After my first session with Helene, I felt like I understood the basics of what the issues were the court could look at and what the law was. She was very responsive to my many phone calls and kept ...me well informed at every stage of the process. I am so grateful and my kids are in much better shape because of the advice she gave me and the outcomes she won in court. We even settled the case, even though my husband and I fought about everything in the beginning.

Helene is extremely rude and terse when dealing with her clients. At first I thought it was her directness, but then it turned just plain rude and bordering on mean. Her assistance was worthless and did not help my situation at all. Then the bill, I received about 4 emails from her none more than ...a couple of paragraphs long, and she billed me for 3.4 hours! There really is no way that she could have spent even an hour on these emails. I am disputing her bill, but feel helpless with this situation. I will never hire her again.
