also known as Charles Nelson Berry
For me, being an attorney means helping people find justice and resolution. This motivating purpose is what has driven me to pursue a career of representing individuals and small business owners rather than large corporate interest. To me, every case is personal and having a private practice allows me to provide every client with my personal attention. Having practiced in Seattle since 1979, I am intimately familiar with Washington case law. While it is always my hope that a case can be settled before trial, I know that this is not always possible. I am an experienced litigator and comfortable in the court room. If you are looking for experienced, competent, and personal representation, contact me for a free consultation to discuss your case.

Honest, direct and determined
In 2009, I went through a terrible divorce and my counselor at that time mentioned “the children are young enough you can leave now and they won’t remember you.” Had I met Nelson nd had him as my attorney from day one I am confident I would’ve been the sole custodian of the children. In 2009 relat...

Mr. Berry immediately engaged with a lev...

“I represented a woman who throughout her dissolution believed her husband had been hiding assets. Shortly after final orders were entered, she provided me with evidence of an account which had not been disclosed at trial. I subpoenaed for information about the account and served opposing counsel. Opposing counsel threatened to bring a motion to quash which would have provided an appropriate forum to resolve this dispute. Instead, she filed a complaint with the WSBA.”
Reciprocal - Censure issued in CO, 1999
updated on 08/08/2017This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Colorado.
“This censure was reciprocal nature and was for the same incident that occurred in 1998 in Washington, detailed below. I would be happy to discuss either incident, shown above and below, further.”

“I represented a Minority Business Enterprise which had been exploited by HSW Construction and the Seattle School District during the refurbishing of Franklin High School. Two weeks into trial, the judge summarily dismissed portions of our claims outside the presence of the jury. I was so upset, I told the judge her rulings were “a travesty of justice”. I left the courtroom and let my co-counsel take over for the rest of the day. A week later, the judge found me in contempt for my comment.”
