No help to our Autistic black son

Was recommended by fellow parents in Lake Washington School District to reach out to her for help. She was no help. My son lost access to education during pandemic. I had reached out to her for help with IEE and a complaint I would end up filing in Feb 2020 with OSPI. I received no due process and OS...PI errored on my complaint. I filed a second complaint. Then I saw her on the news representing other parents whose children were not receiving services during pandemic. I emailed her to confirm that she was representing these families. Hoping that she would listen to what happened to us, since we were more than likely her last client before pandemic, in area of special education. I got a cold one sentence return email just stating that yes, she was representing those families. My son is black. My son never saw education again he was in the 11th grade in 2020. He would never graduate, and everything fell apart. She never wanted to help in the first place. The person that recommended I reach out to her said she has been so helpful to many families she knows. I didn't realize until years later her lack of help might have stemmed from a prejudice. I wish I had never stepped foot in her office. Perhaps my son's outcome in education would have been different.

Strongest possible recommendation

Kathy George has represented me in several Public Records Act cases, a FOIA lawsuit and two First Amendment complaints. Kathy George can be trusted to put the interests of her clients first. She is very knowledgeable in her field. She knows and works well with other attorneys in our area. Kathy... George always kept me informed on the status of my cases, even when issues became complex.
