I want to greatly thank Lauren Wegener for helping me when I had received my 3rd DUI. You can imagine how scared I was that I would be doing some serious jail time. Lauren reassured me that it wasn't the end of the world and we would get through this together, just as we had done on my 2nd DUI. Just ...knowing I had someone in my corner again who believed in me and would do her best for me was such a relief. DUI charge in King County with BAC approx 0.11. Officer pulled me over for speeding. I was arrested on the spot and my car was towed (which I was able to get back after 24 hours and paying around $280). Little did I know it was just the start. As I agreed for BAC test , Officer did not suspend my lic...ense immediately. I was listening to KUOW I believe , that's when I head 1800-DUI-AWAY. It was like a sign from above. I just googled and saw few good reviews and it lead me to Bradley Johnson Attorneys' website. I did not know what to do. Scared, shocked and frustrated and mad - I decided to call 1-800-DUI-AWAY. It was late in the evening , probably around 7.30 or 8 PM ish. A quiet voice answered the Phone , saying hello, How may I help you? I told my story that I have been arrested for DUI and I have to appear in court tomorrow. First reply I received was, Where am I and how I was doing and was I OK ?. Then the person on the other side asked me to relax and that she will help me to get through this together. Believe me, those words are very powerful if someone is just arrested for DUI charge just the night before. She said we can meet in-person at least for first time or have a teleconference if I am not able to make it in person. She asked me to go to court and plead not-guilty and that its called arraignment (I did not know it was called that until that point in time).And she will be sending me a text tomorrow morning with the Info and was kind enough to agree for a meeting after 5 PM. During this whole conversation , I did not even get a chance to ask her name. Anyway , the conversation ended. I had court the next day , and this would be second day I call in sick to work in a row. I could not afford one more day. Next day morning , as promised I received a text early morning asking for my Info and confirming our appointment. And then I knew it was Lauren from Bradley Johnson Attorneys. She sent me the office address of down town Seattle and there I went. She asked me the details of what exactly happened and how I ended up there. She handed me over a booklet with details of what are my options based on my BAC and what are minimums and maximums I am looking at. And also regarding the DOL hearing which runs separately (again, I did not know there was separate DOL hearing). Also, Lauren was kind enough to let me pay her fees in instalments. Outcome: DOL hearing hearing was scheduled after 30 days. Unfortunately, DOL found against me and my License was suspended for 90 days. Bradley Johnson Attorneys' office was kind enough to send me details on what are my next options, If I need to keep driving. I decided not to drive for time for suspension. In Civil Court, fortunately my charge was reduced to Negligent Driving in First Degree with no jail time, no ignition interlock and $0 fine and 24 months on probation. But I had to pay few penalties as part of negligent driving. I ended up taking Alcohol Evaluation, Alcohol & Drug Information Classes & Victims Impact Panel Classes. I have heard King County has strict laws pertaining to DUI. I am so happy that I am not convicted of DUI.Else it it would have been a disaster for me - I could have ended up losing my Job. I can't wait for my suspension period to over and reinstate my license and start driving again. I highly recommend Lauren and Bradley Johnson Attorneys. You cannot go wrong here. Lauren is very aggressive and got my DUI reduced to Negligent Driving in First Degree. No Jail , no Ignition Interlock. All this happened within 4 months and I appeared in court in 3 times in total. I am so glad and its past me now. The office of Bradley Johnson and Katie- my case manager have been very patient with my calls and kept sending mail in regards to progress of my case and important upcoming dates. Again, its not worth driving under the influence of any substance. The consequences can have a bad mark on one's career, social, financial and family life.
