I worked with Mindy for over a year and a half on my complex divorce case and she was a fierce advocate from the initial consult through the trial and judgement. She helped me to get a fair and equitable settlement that was everything we asked for, even though my case included multiple asset protecti...on schemes, voluntary underemployment, non-cooperation, harassment, and marital waste by the other party. I'd been divorced 6 years and my parenting plan was being repeatedly violated by the other parent, and the mediator told me they cannot do much. I had no legal representation—my previous attorney had disappeared years prior—and I felt stuck and overwhelmed. Determined to find the right support, I interviewed several family law attorneys in the area, each for about an hour. Mindy stood out immediately. Her punctuality, clarity, confidence, and direct communication style were unmatched. She doesn’t waste time with vague advice—she gets straight to the point and delivers it with compassion and precision. There might have been times I didn't love what Mindy said, but I know I needed to hear it. Beyond her legal expertise, Mindy has been an incredible coach. Mindy was great - helping not only with the legal issues, but with how to handle things personally and making sure best practices were followed. She's not going to blindly argue for whatever you want, she'll push you to work towards the most likely achievable outcome. To be brief, Mindy is amazing. That’s all you really need to know; she’s amazing and you should have her represent you. That’s not a useful review, however, so let’s try again. My divorce was always going to be an uphill battle given my ex’s nature, and when Mindy agreed to represent me, I was ...overwhelmed and panicking, in a bad spot with no idea what to do or how to proceed, and within days I was finally able to breathe, reassured that she had the knowledge and experience to handle my headache of a case. Within a week, I was able to take actions to keep my kids safe, thanks to Mindy’s expertise and knowledge of immediate actions I needed to take. I’m a scattered procrastinator, but Mindy kept me aware of deadlines and always made sure I knew what action items I needed to focus on. She did this while also striking the perfect balance between both keeping me in the know about the current status and upcoming needs but also without overwhelming me with just how much there was to do. Divorces are a sea of shifting dates and deadlines, and the only late thing was me writing this review. If Mindy had been in charge of getting it written and posted, it wouldn’t be happening almost a year after trial. (Sorry Mindy!) I’m also a bit of a pushover, who’s more likely to cave to a bully than fight for myself. Mindy is not. She won’t back down from advocating for you, just because your divorce is messy or your partner is unwilling to compromise. She’ll try her best to get a compromise, but if there isn’t one to be had, she’s not afraid to go to trial. And in trial, Mindy is a masterclass in who you want representing you. I already knew she was very familiar with all of the inner workings of the divorce process, but that doesn’t fully explain how great she was in depositions, examination, and cross-examination. She’s professional without being impersonable, and also knowledgeable and keenly observant. In trial, she seemed entirely comfortable and confident, without coming across as arrogant or rude. Mindy’s diligence, savviness, and attention to detail made the opposing counsel look sloppy and unprepared, and she cleared the path for the judge to see through my ex’s lies, exaggerations, and attempts to hide finances. Without Mindy, I would have been utterly sunk. Instead, I have hope for the future. So again, Mindy is amazing. That’s all you really need to know.
