What About Loser !!!!!!

Totally failed to follow instructions. Was never prepared for Court. Did nothing to present evidence that he was furnished to the Courts.Sold me out and generally “Threw me under the bus”. He did not however fail to take my money.

Because this review was left anonymously, there is no way for me address their specific concerns except to say that I have never had a client suggest, or otherwise tell me, that they were unhappy with my representation and the outcome of their case. Let me be clear - my job as your attorney is to offer counsel and advice, NOT to follow your instructions, especially if it would cause me to violate my ethical obligations as an attorney or lose my law license. Furthermore, all final decisions for the outcome of my clients’ cases rest solely with my clients. I don’t take any of my clients for granted. I am honored that they have trusted me with such important matters in their lives. They all have my personal cell phone number and are free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.

Compassionate, Experienced, and Intelligent

We were financially and emotionally drained from this unfair situation. Not knowing how having a good lawyer can make all the difference, I went into court 4 times in 3 months alone trying to lift a No Contact Order that was placed on my partner because of a neighbor's call to the police. We have... a 2 year old child together and had just recently bought our first home. The judge and the prosecutor made us out to be something we were not. This was a very unjust situation, and we got caught in some mess that snowballed into an entire legal area that we knew nothing about. I felt like I was in a twilight zone, Coming to realization that I really needed help and was getting nowhere with the prosecutor or the judge, I was lucky enough to find John through the King County Bar Association. I wish I would have found him sooner. John has strong qualities you want in a lawyer; he is highly intelligent, well spoken, and compassionate. John is that one exceptional individual who went into law because he genuinely cares and understands how laws and our justice system can be extremely unfair and hard to navigate. The entire time before court, I really felt like John was there to help, and he was someone I can rely on. I felt like a huge weight lifted. Although I knew John was compassionate and kind, I don't think I knew how good of a lawyer he was until he stood in court. They initially denied our motion to be heard this day, so we had a very slim chance in even getting heard to even lift the NCO. He convinced the prosecutor and judge to be heard on a matter they had denied a week ago. This first day in court with John, I was so impressed and surprised by his professionalism, demeanor, and how well he spoke to the judge and the prosecutor. He was so clear, concise, and all in a very respectful manner; John convinced the judge to lift the NCO in such a calm, nonchalant manner saying everything he needed to say. I don't think anyone could have done it better, and there was no way we would have been successful this day without John. Not only was I impressed on how well John was addressing the court, the prosecutor even looked shocked. The 4 times I went in there alone, I couldn't get her to look at me once. She kept looking over as John was addressing the court in amazement. John is really compassionate, intelligent, well-spoken, and is extremely people smart. He seems to have been born to be a great lawyer. I wouldn't give a second thought in hiring him. If you have found this review, you are lucky to have found him. I highly recommend John.

Former Colleague

I worked with Mr. Boyd when he was a prosecutor, seeing his professionalism and dedication to the truth first hand. Mr. Boyd above all else is a person who does the right thing. He cares about the truth and will work tirelessly on whatever case he is presented with. He's also a calm, friendly person ...who doesn't speak above people's heads. A genuine and talented attorney.

"I've had the pleasure of knowing John as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. There are some traits that can make you effective in both and John has these traits. John has inside knowledge of how the court system works, who to speak with, what to worry about and what to ignore, and most importantly how to get results for his clients. He always has the time to listen and explain to his clients what their options are and what his opinion is of the case. For these reasons, I highly endorse this lawyer."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have known John Boyd for several years and had the opportunity to work with John as opposing counsel on several criminal cases while he was still a prosecutor in DeKalb County, Georgia. John was a worthy opponent who was always well prepared, knowledgeable and honest about the facts of his case and the applicable law, and possesses excellent courtroom skills. Despite being on opposite sides, John always exercised appropriate discretion and conducted himself as a consummate professional. Although we might disagree about the case , he was never disagreeable, a trait that is sorely lacking in our profession today. While I was sad to see him leave Atlanta, the Georgia bar's loss is Washington's gain. John Boyd is not only an excellent attorney but also a fine and honorable man who I endorse wholeheartedly!"
