A straight shooter

Be ready for the truth. Ms. Edwards comes at you abruptly with the possibilities of what the future has to offer for your case. As she talks, you come to realize she knows all that stuff because of her hands-on, face-to-face experience with Homeland Security. As she talks, you also develop a sense of... security that she will handle your case with professionalism. She talks to you sometimes as a teacher and other times as a loving aunt helping you through the complexities of Immigration law. I recommend Carol Edwards.

A+ Lawyer

I am very grateful to have found Carol when I was in search of a good Immigration lawyer. Since the beginning, Carol let me know that my case would be rather difficult. Nevertheless, she never stopped having faith. Therefore, she kept her hard work and willingness to achieve desirable results. I wo...uld strongly recommend Carol Edward if you are looking for a competitive Immigration Lawyer. Not only because she is very knowledgeable at what she does but because of her perseverance and her "go-get her" attitude.

One of the best!

We came to Carol after 10 years of fighting with the Dept. of Homeland Security , with no success. We faced being deported and felt as if we were nearing the end of our legal options. Carol took our case and gave us a realistic outlook on what we could expect. She walked us through our options and th...e likely outcomes–she told us that our case was a long shot, but that she would do her best. Immigration cases are complicated and time consuming. They require a lot of expertise and can be very costly, but Carol was honest with us regarding the costs. Moreover, immigration cases take a long time to resolve. The Dept. of Homeland security takes months to respond to just about any filing and cases can go on for years--ours went on for 12. It is difficult to find an honest, qualified immigration attorney. Our previous lawyer missed deadlines, didn't return our phone calls, and ultimately kept all of the money we paid her even though we were facing deportation because she had missed numerous immigration deadlines. Carol, like any attorney, is busy, but she genuinely cared about us and was very diligent in representing us. She never missed a deadline and the work she submitted on our behalf was of high quality. Carol is one of the top two immigration attorneys in Seattle according to Seattle Magazine and I believe it! She has a reputation among other attorneys of being an excellent, knowledgeable and ethical lawyer. For us, she was a zealous advocate and took our case all the way to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she won on oral argument–a very rare occurrence. Thanks to Carol, we are now well on our way to becoming citizens!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
