I was accused falsely of a very serious crime over 20 years ago and charged. i HAD NEVER been charged with a crime in my life, no criminal history. I could have spent up to 20 years in prison, but he fought for me every step of the way believing in my innocence, he went above and beyond what was exp...ected of him as a criminal defense lawyer. In a world of lawyers who dont take their job to defend their clients very seriously Jeff Cohen took his job very seriously in getting to the bottom of the truth and using his expertise to defend my rights. It is very hard to overcome charges in the state of Washington where some lawyers are afraid to advocate for their clients and defend their rights but Jeff Cohen defended my rights with the knowledge he had of the law. I was exonerated and found not guilty. He confronted police in court with their unethical behavior and fought for my rights wanting to see justice prevail which it was. I was exonerated of all charges and cleared after 3 months. I have a friend who is going through an unjust situation in the justice system that is not quite the same as mine but she has not had the priveldge of of good legal counsel and has endured over a year and a half of misery fighting an uphill legal battle and gone through 2 lawyers that have not done much for her case. She has had to do all the work and she has always been through too much unable to to it herself. I only wish i had known of her legal dilema before she hired these 2 lawyers who have not done anything for her. She had the same offers recently that she had from the start without any improvement in her case. If she had Jeff Cohen this case would been resolved favorably a long time ago as he would have gotten to the bottom of this right away. Thank you Jeff for saving my life. I was recently faced with the charge of a severe hit-and-run/DUI (high BAC). When going through the overwhelming court process, it really helps to have a professional and knowledgable attorney at your side for guidance. Jeff proved to be this and more. His experience in the courtroom really shows and... I felt like a had the best defense possible on my side. While many other attorneys seemed a bit disorganized and unprepared, Jeff was always one step ahead, completing documents in advance in order to speed up time spent in court. Being organized and experienced is absolutely critical in a DUI case as there are many factors to deal with (DOL trials, license suspensions, evaluations, classes, etc.). Jeff proved to be very resourceful, researching and utilizing evidence every step of the way. In the end, the hit-and-run charge was dropped and the DUI reduced to a reckless driving. He was also able to win the hearing with the the DOL. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! Thanks again Jeff!
