Professional is an understatement when describing my experience with this attorney. Jean Shiedler-Brown saved my life. Attorney Brown studied my case and worked on my behalf to obtain the desired legal outcome as well as using the law to keep me safe during the proceedings. I found her to be knowledg...eable, professional, caring and compassionate. In my opinion, this comes from a love of what she does and a love of law and of people. I was clearly in danger and the state gave the impression that I had no options. Ms. Shiedler-Brown showed me that I not only had options, but a right to be safe in my own home. She told me that she would handle everything and to not worry. She handled my case and I did not have to worry or appear from that day forward. I felt my first relief in a very long time. I hired Ms. Brown to look over any legal claims I may have coming out of an administrative law case. Unfortunately, I hired her too late, but that's my fault and another story. In general, Ms. Brown is very knowledgable within her areas of expertise. She has a lot of experience, and it was evident i...n how she advised me. She looked over my materials and provided me with plenty of feedback on possible legal remedies I may have. I never did get to meet Ms. Brown in person, but over the phone and email she was courteous, understanding, and friendly. What I liked most about Ms. Brown's work is her "no bullshit" approach to legal advice. She was straight forward and put things into perspective for me, even though hearing what she had to say was not always easy.

I was referred to Jean by a friend who had used her services before. She represented me in a personal injury action resulting from a car accident where I was injured by a negligent driver. When I contacted her, the insurance company for the driver who hit me was refusing to pay any of my medical bill...s, which were quickly mounting due to the physical therapy prescribed by my doctor. They were also refusing to acknowledge fault in the accident, despite the fact that their insured plowed into my car from behind while I was stopped in traffic. Jean got all of my bills paid by the insurance company and got me a nice settlement that my husband and I were able to use as a down payment on our house. Once Jean took over, I was able to concentrate on recovering from the accident instead of getting stressed out about how the insurance company was trying to steam roll me. She did a great job!
