Jean Schiedler-Brown

I hired Ms. Brown to look over any legal claims I may have coming out of an administrative law case. Unfortunately, I hired her too late, but that's my fault and another story. In general, Ms. Brown is very knowledgable within her areas of expertise. She has a lot of experience, and it was evident i...n how she advised me. She looked over my materials and provided me with plenty of feedback on possible legal remedies I may have. I never did get to meet Ms. Brown in person, but over the phone and email she was courteous, understanding, and friendly. What I liked most about Ms. Brown's work is her "no bullshit" approach to legal advice. She was straight forward and put things into perspective for me, even though hearing what she had to say was not always easy.

When I got into trouble with the state and they wanted their money back, Ms. Scheidler-Brown saved my butt. First time we met, she fitted me in on an emergency basis, then said the magic words, "You don't need a lawyer yet. You need to do this and this and if they do that, then you do this, then co...me and see me. So I did all that and got denied, of course, then went back to Jean. With a short deadline forced on us by the state's lack of resources, she quickly made the necessary arrangements to accommodate my special needs and conducted the Administrative Law Hearing from her office. Her summation at the end was perfect. Two days later I got the ruling that the department had been reversed, and I had won. Hiring Jean Scheidler-Brown was the critical step that made that happen, and I remain forever grateful. In the process, she saved me around $7k. :-{)}

I hired Ms. Brown to give me some legal advice on an administrative law case. I paid $2.5 k for this. What I expected was at least a well-written memo, exploring the legal issues involved. What I got was a poorly written email. This thing was composed of cryptic reference to some legal theories. It ...barely even made sense. And it was filled with whole bunch of spelling mistakes. I would not hire this attorney again, ever.
