I hired Jean to represent me in a fraud case. She pretended to conduct interviews related to the fraud. After over a year she had a phone conference with the other side. AT that time, she learned that I lacked standing to bring an action. It was easily ascertainable that I didn't have standing. It wa...s a threshold issue that just an "average" attorney would have verified at first, charged for the hour it took, and discontinued the representation. She didn't bother. When, after a year, the other side informed her of the standing issue she failed completely to inform me. She mentioned it in a throw away remark. Because she didn't inform me, I incurred fines to say nothing of the 7k I threw away on her pretence of representation. She cut off all contact with me and would not take phone calls or refund any of my money. She was disorganized and unresponsive during her representation. I requested copies of her entire representation and there was no itemized billing, no list of activities or phone calls, no interview sheets - she had done nothing but collect money for which she was not entitled. She is not fit to practice law. I still intend to bring an action against her for complete failure to earn a single cent of the money she took.
