Russ is a competent, responsive and friendly patent attorney.

Russell has assisted me with several patent applications over the past 8 years. Unlike many lawyers Russ is personable as well as skilled. He has a masters degree in electrical engineering. He handles technical applications as well as mechanically oriented. I haven't needed Russ for an infringe...ment case but I hear he is excellent in the courtroom as well.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Russ Tarleton is a genius who is obviously absorbed by and enjoys the process of helping inventors get their ideas off the ground. While he could probably care less about Avvo ratings, he deserves a pat on the back for offering cautious encouragement to his clients. His suggestions to flesh out and bolster ideas are as valuable as his analysis and defense of patent applications. He also recognizes peripheral values to capture in Intellectual Property and makes suggestions to maximize clients' investments. He respects client budgets. He is an easy person to talk with and is a good listener. With Russ Tarleton, the gears are always turning to serve the client in any way possible!"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
