Mikel seemed very professional at first. However I feel she screwed us. Our case changed to adoption and she had no idea what she was doing. She told us she would figure it out and ignored us for a month. Then wrote up papers that was literally 2 pages. Couldn’t have taken a month to do that. Then to...ld us after she did that she didn’t know how to proceed after she filed paperwork. Like what?? She didn’t know the next step YET TOOK OUR MONEY!! I have absolutely no knowledge of the law yet figured out how to finish my adoption on my own very easy. It was final and in front of a judge. Mikel stole our money. If pay her more money she will pay more attention to you. If you pay her the min (what most families can afford, then go screw yourselves) and then you get upset about her not responding after a week or 2 then she responds like you are the bad guy. I will never understand. She screwed us out of money and did nothing for our family. Do not use her unles you have tons of money to spend to make her time worthy.

Mikel does not handle DV/Family Law cases well. Watch out for her. She had me fill out this review when she had me.convinced she would help me...after I did she forgot to file things and made matters worse. She did not listen to me at all anymore. She even told me my ex husband talks to her bad, so I... should just toughen up and deal with it because he's not going to change...since I fired her my ex husband continues to get away with parental alienation and not honoring the very very unfair parenting plan.

Mikel and her legal team are extremely Knowledgeable when it comes to the ins and outs of family law. I came to her for help in my parenting plan, child support case, and DV order. Each time she set up in person appointments and we came up with a game plan that was going to work best for my daughter.... There were a lot if ups and downs in my parenting plan case and she was able to navigate thru whatever came her way so we could do what is best for my childs needs. I have hired her on more than one occasion and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for compassion, patience, and someone to defend what is right but with integrity she is the perfect lawyer for you.
