Mikel does not handle DV/Family Law cases well. Watch out for her. She had me fill out this review when she had me.convinced she would help me...after I did she forgot to file things and made matters worse. She did not listen to me at all anymore. She even told me my ex husband talks to her bad, so I... should just toughen up and deal with it because he's not going to change...since I fired her my ex husband continues to get away with parental alienation and not honoring the very very unfair parenting plan.

Mikel and her legal team are extremely Knowledgeable when it comes to the ins and outs of family law. I came to her for help in my parenting plan, child support case, and DV order. Each time she set up in person appointments and we came up with a game plan that was going to work best for my daughter.... There were a lot if ups and downs in my parenting plan case and she was able to navigate thru whatever came her way so we could do what is best for my childs needs. I have hired her on more than one occasion and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for compassion, patience, and someone to defend what is right but with integrity she is the perfect lawyer for you.

Mikel has been a blessing to my family. Ice been in and out of court for a messy custody and DV battle and she has helped navigatebme thru it despite the court being unreasonable and not protecting my kiddo she helped prepare me with sound advise and helped me manage thru hard times in and out of The... system. I am happy to report we successfully have been able to change the outcome for my struggles and hope in the upcoming proceedings for than happy ending my child deserves. She's knowledgeable empathetic and brilliant with her advise. Highly recommended

I hired Ms. Carlson eight months before my High Conflict Dissolution Trial Date with the intention to have her represent me at Trial. Two months before Trial Ms. Carlson verbally informed me she would be withdrawing. She then changed her mind and agreed to represent me Pro Bono. TWO days prior to the... Trial Date she withdrew. Ms. Carlson only returned approximately 35% of my file to me. I would strongly caution anyone dealing with DV components to hire Ms. Carlson. Her lack of experience in the courtroom and in DV matters made her representation very unpredictable.

I hired Mikel in July of 2013. I don't know all the words to describe the invaluable service she has performed for me and my family. I am grateful to have had the privilege of working with Mikel. Her guidance and advice in court and legally have been a Godsend in a difficult situation. She provided... me with support unseen and met me for the first time at the court. My situation was such that my husband at the time had been molesting my older daughter. She advised we get a protection order in place for my older daughter that will last a lifetime and supervised visits for my younger daughter. She is currently helping me through the process of divorce and the legal ramifications. If it weren't for Mikel I would absolutely not have the faintest idea of what to do or say in court.
