Thumbs up for Lindsay

While driving southbound on I-5 in Tacoma an underinsured motorist sideswiped a dump-truck causing it to spin around and go north in the southbound lanes and hitting us head-on. We were crushed between the spinning dump truck, the car that caused the accident and the car that rear-ended us. We hired... Schroeter Goldmark & Bender to represent us. The insurance carrier for the underinsured motorist paid us the limits under their policy. Our own insurance company basically made an offer of zero to cover life-altering and permanent injuries. Our team at at SGB of Lindsay Halm, Sergio Garcidueñas-Sease, Adam Berger and Alder Burgess took over for us. One of the most important things they did was to shield us from the stone-walling, delaying tactics of our own insurance company to whom we had paid premiums for more than 30 years. From the beginning they handled the case as if it would end up in litigation. You need attorneys like SGB that have your back and are not afraid to go to court if that is what it takes. They had the added challenge of doing this during Covid. Thank goodness for Zoom conferences. We ultimately got a court date. Two months prior to our court date, we went to medication, via Zoom. We didn't hold out much hope for mediation but we were wiling to make an attempt. What a surprise when the insurance company came to mediation finally willing to negotiate. After a full day of the mediator going back and forth between Zoom rooms, we came to a fair monetary settlement. We are convinced that the insurance company, even then, was only willing to negotiate because Lindsay and the rest of her team were well prepared bulldogs willing to go to court if mediation failed. As they like to say, "This was not their first rodeo". A car accident is horrible. You need the best attorneys you can find to protect your interests. Besides being professional and knowing the law inside and out, Lindsay and the rest of the SGB team are compassionate and truly care about their clients. We strongly recommend them to anyone who needs their services. Without Lindsay and SGB our insurance company would have paid us nothing.

Fabulous Lawyers and guidance

Please allow this review to highly recommend both Lindsay Halm and Becky Roe. These two amazing intelligent woman brought me though a process that I knew nothing about. They were professional, direct, honest and fully prepared me for the anxiety, stress and unpleasantness involved in litigation. N...ot only did I have an extremely positive outcome (given the unfortunate circumstances) I felt they exceeded my expectations. They work together fabulously as a team and I felt confident with the breadth of knowledge and experience they brought to my case. I hope to never work with them again, but if I ever needed a lawyer I would not even think of speaking to anyone else.

5 Stars Aren't Enough

Lindsay Halm is as good as they come and I consider myself lucky to have found her to represent me. Before her, I had spoken with eight different attorneys and none of them felt right. The minute we shook hands and sat down for a consultation, I knew she was the one. She is humble, collected, whip sm...art, personable and a force to be reckoned with. She is strategic, intentional and has an impeccable attention to detail. I have never had to seek legal counsel prior to working with her and at the close of my case I feel like I had learned so much about discrimination laws and the legal system by the sheer fact that she was able to translate legalese into layman's terms. Every step as my case progressed, she took a great deal of time to explain what was happening, why and what I could expect next. She presented me with options along with her professional opinion which I grew to value and depend on. My case had many layers and players and she dove in to learn and understand every single possible detail there was to know. When Lindsay believes in your case she will fight hard until the end and even then, she is prepared to go that extra mile. She was encouraging and considerate when I felt like I was going to melt into an emotional mess. She was my personal cheerleader fighting for justice and a better future for me, my family and all the other people who were in my situation. She knows what great looks like and is an admirable steward of the legal system. In short, Lindsay is a boss.
